  1. Thus far, disabling hardware acceleration within Affinity Photo's preferences has worked. I just left Photo open for about 3 hours, and have resumed working with no problems. Previously, leaving the machine unattended for 10 minutes was a sure-fire way to have a program crash. So I am hopeful that "de-accelerizing" Affinity Photo will work!
