  1. It is doing the same thing in Designer 2.1 but only for the Dark and Light sections of the blend menu. (I assume the same code base is being used between apps so it probably is doing the same thing in the others) Lighten displays Lighten but Screen displays Color Dodge ( the option below screen). Same thing for Color Dodge displaying Add. But oddly enough, Lighter Color displays Screen. At least it's the same family of modes. The Dark menu options cycle the same way.
  2. That was it! One of them was .1 off. Darned annoying. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future. Thanks. J
  3. Hi, I use Designer for creating isometric pixel art by enabling the pixel alignment, disabling whole pixel movement and forcing the anti-aliasing off. However, I noticed with the recent update that although it doesn't affect the outcome due to the anti-aliasing being turned off, the pixel alignment is snapping to ##.9 rather than ##.0. I can't get it to stop. Is there a way to fix this or is it a bug? I know that Designer 1 series didn't do this. Thanks. James
  4. Hi, I don't know if this is a bug but Affinity Photo 1.9.1 is doing something I don't expect. When I create a Vector object and set the Blend Antialias to Off, it removes the antialiases. If I export that to PNG, the export does not contain antialiases. However, if I Rasterize the vector, I get antialiases even though they are not displayed. To work around it, I have been exporting vectors as PNG and bringing them back in. But this is a pain in the butt. Is it possible for Rasterize to obey the Antialias setting? Or is there something that I'm missing? Thanks. James PS: This might be the same in Affinity Designer as well but I haven't checked.
  5. Thanks. I'll try to fiddle with the grid some more unless you know of a way to get it to be exactly integer pixels.
  6. Attached is a simple example. Each time I export a selected tile as a PNG or PSD, the result doesn't look right. The image dimensions is either the wrong size or the tile doesn't take up the correct space that I would want. When it is a vector, it looks exactly what I want. But when it is rendered to pixels, the Antialiasing seems to change the size. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. IsoTiles_Example.afdesign
  7. I have a dedicated object for the outline of the tile and the stroke on it is set to Inside.
  8. Hi, I'm fairly new to Affinity Designer. I've mostly used Inkscape. I'm trying to use it to create Isometric tiles for a game. My Document units is set to pixels. When I use the Preset 64x32 Isometric grid, I had expected that the resulting tiles would be 64px by 32px. But when I draw a tile with the pen tool, it is much larger. So I played with the settings for the Isometric 2:1 setting until the tile reads 64x32px. However, now when I go to export a single tile, the dimensions are one or more pixels larger. What is the proper way, if there is a way to do this, to setup a 2:1 Isometric grid that exports to 64x32px exactly for each tile? Also, tiles should not bleed over top of each other. When I check in Pixel View, it looks like adjacent tiles will bleed into each other with Anti-Aliased pixels. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks.
