  1. I was using 360Safe, which is a Chinese anti-virus. It was working fine with all my programs before, but for some reason recently it has been preventing me from doing a lot of things. Uninstalled it now and just running Windows Defender
  2. Stopping the anti-virus appears to have worked! It also appears that the anti-virus has recently been causing issues with me accessing other applications as well, not just Affinity.
  3. @David Tee @Jan van der Aa I've just stopped my anti-virus software and the installation worked as expected. It appeared that I've been having issues with multiple programs due to my anti-virus recently for some reason, as Affinity isn't the only thing that has been affected by my AV being on.
  4. Mine doesn't even get to 90%. Preparing appears to work just fine, but then when it comes to the installing phase, the bar just zooms to the right and the error I show pops up.
  5. To add further details to this, these are things I've found after trying to install the 1.9.1 update for Affinity Designer and Photo: > Affinity Designer and Photo 1.9.0 both disappearing from my apps list without a trace. > Restarting the PC and attempting the re-install would show the same error. > Attempts to install Affinity Designer and Photo 1.9.0 using the previous installer package would also show the same error. Hopefully this extra bit of information may be of use for the devs. I don't exactly want to do a fresh install of Windows at this moment in time, so it would be nice to hopefully see this rather odd issue figured out
  6. Hi there, I tried up update Affinity Photo from 1.9.0 to 1.9.1 last night, but I had an error show up during the installing stage which then led to the following message appearing: "Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Photo\d3dcompiler_47.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory." Has anybody encountered this issue? If so, does anybody know how to resolve it? Thanks in advance. P.S. I also had the same problem with trying to update Affinity Designer from 1.9.0 to 1.9.1. The Affinity folder has also seemingly disappeared from my C:\ Drive.

I also tried to update Affinity Photo from 1.9.0 to 1.9.1 and that appeared to have the same issue. The Affinity Folder has seemingly disappeared from my C:\ Drive now.
