Like others, I long used Acrobat Pro (good old 32 bit CS6) for checking spot colour separations before sending off that print-ready PDF. I'd check on-screen that each of the spots was on a separate plate and knocking out or overprinting as expected. The three apps listed here are just absurdly expensive when that's all you need to do:
Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020: US$449 + tax Callas pdfToolbox: €500.00 + tax Enfocus PitStop Pro: €735 + tax So I went searching. This is what I found:
A command-line tool called Ghostscript. Someone on Stack Overflow asked about extracting CMYK and spot separations from PDF with Ghostscript. The answer included a one-liner for generating all separations. (Installing on a Mac involves building from source, and I haven't gone to the trouble at this stage. If someone else does try it, perhaps they can report back here.) An app on the Mac App Store called ExtractPDFSpotColor. This one I did try, and I'm now waiting for Apple to refund me the $30 or so. It simply doesn't do what it says on the tin. It failed to find spots in one file, and when it did find spots in another, it crashed as soon as I tried to export them. An online demo of a JavaScript-based SDK called PDFTRON Webviewer. This isn't really a standalone product; it's something developers can license for their own apps. But by golly, the demo is pretty darn useful! It finds all the spots and lists them (alongside the CMYK inks) with checkboxes that you can turn off and on, just like Acrobat Pro. And it runs in a web browser. So I'm not sure what makes this feature so elusive for all the devs of those cheap PDF utilities out there.

Well I didn't think about it, wow such an inventive thinking, let get rid of colour picker then because we can copy and paste colours or type hexes in console.

I thought we are here to make product better not worse, it's not about taking things slow or finding the way or solution how to do thing without using illustrator or combination of keys or actions that takes 10min instead of 1 click.
    Come on guys!

I've got another request about colour picker working in all affinity apps.

The request is more about working with colour books like PANTONE, and multiple entities of colour, so if I'm trying to pick Pantone colour with colour picker it gets converted to CMYK which is not preferred function by me. If I sample colour from for example other artwork, document etc. I would like to have that information passed to the new artwork with info about colour used, not manually looking for it in the books.
It would be great to have that functionality.

I think an easy way to do it would be to connect colour books to colour panel - to read informations

and if I want to convert colour I can just switch pallete to whatever pallete I like either CMYK, HEX etc. and this way colour could be converted.
I would make like easier for people working with colour books.

    Thanks in advance

    Thank's for replying.
You're right I might need to post it as a separate topic.

Additional note: If implimented, please include full settings control... palette size, whether it does the delta-based compression, whether it loops, plays once, or (if it's a thing) plays a certain number of times.

I'd love Affinity P and D to both have the ability to export animated GIFs, including the ability to import a movie file (to be converted), and having a timeline system where you can 'stack' images/frames along the timeline, assigning each a hold duration.
Currently, that is the only reason I (reluctantly) have to fire up Photoshop once in a while, as it's the only software I have to assemble a sequence and export an animated GIF with.
It would be awesome if AF and/or AP would have a full edit system for assembling/exporting animated GIFs.
