First, as that request is not related to your original request in this topic, it would have been better to post a new topic.

However, Photo already supports creating straight lines with brushes:

    1. Select the Brush Tool, and the brush you want to use.
    2. Click at the starting point of the stroke.
    3. Shift+Click at the ending point of the stroke.

Ok, I recreate a new theme. Shift+Click at the ending point of the stroke, Not easy to use

This may not be an error.

What brush are you using for the Eraser Brush Tool? What brush are you using for the Brush Tool?

Both tools are brushes, and you can select a brush in the Brushes panel. Some brushes turn on Wet Edges automatically, and others leave it set if it is turned on. That means it can become set unexpectedly depending on which brushes you choose for each tool, but this is not an error.

What Brush Tool Sharing option have you chosen in the Assistant Manager?

If you have chosen either "Smart sharing" or "Brush shared between all tools" perhaps try "No sharing" instead. That can help keep the settings like Wet Edges from affecting a different tool.

Thank you very much, this is very helpful to me, I will continue to observe.

    Hey yangbai,

It sounds like you're using a brush that has Wet Edges set to enabled - try it with the basic brushes that do not use Wet Edges and see if you can reproduce. If you can reproduce it, would you mind doing a screen recording please?

I found that sometimes when switching between the brush and the eraser, the wet edge is automatically set. This is an error, please fix it.

I didn’t use wet edges, so I met me again to record.

  5. Affinity Photo:

After using the brush, switch to the eraser (E) and select the brush (B) with the tool again. At this time, the brush will appear blurred and the color will fade. You must select it again in the brush list to restore it. This error occurs on both iPad and Mac. It is strongly requested to improve, which greatly affects the use.
