Vectornator is free:-) and my answer might be too late for you now, but I use the App Vectorize! which is not free but does a pretty good job...I use it mostly to vectorize my Procreate Illustrations to use them in AD for ipad...

I have posted this workaround a while ago...works perfectly for me although I have Fresco installed on my iPad....

as this is a very wanted feature (often asked for) is there any explanation why this is not implemented? even free app Vectornator has light/dark UI

Hello, thank you! I just realized that I posted my question in March in the wrong forum, I use AP for iPad...there the menu looks different and I can only resize the whole document. Also, it always jumps back from cm to pixels....but anyhow I found a workaround in March - I do it on desktop using Gimp (which is annoying but at least it works;-).

ich antworte Dir auf Deutsch, weil es für mich einfacher ist, zu erklären, was ich tun will: das Resizen ist nicht ganz, was ich damals gesucht habe - ich brauche wie in Gimp zB eine nach Zentimeter-Angaben zugeschnittene Kopie (meist eine kleinere Version mit derselben Acpect Ratio), die ich printen lassen kann...das Original sollte nicht verändert werden und in meinem AP kann ich nur nach Pixeln zuschneiden...die Umwandlung in cm klappt nie....

I would recommend more storage....I have an ipad pro with 512gb and using mainly AD for vector work: I am now with 130 GB only AD and documents...it takes up loads of storage...has been a topic in this forum many times...hope that helps

I had a similar problem months before...since then I install all fonts via ifont directly on the ipad and not via Affinity Designer....as far as I can see my installed fonts all still work after the update....maybe this would help for you all including threadstarter?

I want to push this question as maybe the colour palettes also use data storage? which is excessive as many users experience including myself

Thanks again 🙂I read the link earlier, but still hoped that behind the sentence "assorted fixes"improvements are hidden...and from other tech forums I'm used to users telling about their experiences with updates for others to decide if they would update.....didnt know that it is not the case in this forum..

I downloaded it...and after a quick check I cant see any significant improvements regarding rulers, colour palettes, etc....and Performancewise I cant decide if its better now, didnt have any problems before...🤔

mine is a pro 2020...and AD data storage is massive...1/3 of 512 GB....

I have not updated yet, neither on the ipad nor on the Mac (AP and AD), can someone who has already updated the software, give a brief experience report? Is only the performance improved? Or are there other improvements as well? esp. AD Ipad: Light Mode? Rulers? etc. txs

I don't use the cloud, but have all the files stored on my iPad and can open them all. Select Import from Cloud, then you can select your iPad folder.

If I understand your problem correctly you dont see the guides? this might be too simple a solution but have you tried this: you can choose in the menu if you want to see them or not, see pic (Hilfslinien means Guides)

@Sean P maybe you could pass this topic als on to dev? It seems to me they are similar... I followed @DM1 s advice and now use a template for this special kind of posters I create, but nevertheless the renaming thing is a problem.... txs

I think we don't have to BEG for a crucial function like this (and others) as we are customers who paid for the software...dont get me wrong I really like Affinity software, but I don't want to BEG...it should simply be implemented by Affinity not to loose customers back to Adobe...
