  1. Hi,

before I post this in feedback/suggestions I want to know if there is a good workaround for the problem...  I work with unwrapped 3D items, so I have a 2D net in Designer. Now I have to fill the net with different fill pattern. Later on the 2d will be printed out, cut and glued to a paper model as result.

When placing a bitmap fill into a form it is possible to rotate, scale and position the fill with the mouse - which is not precisely as needed when working on angled shapes (back in 3d / the papermodel the shapes result in a conic form, so the pattern has to be precise to give the model the right look) . Here I need a a numeric input field where I can type to rotate by "60°" for example.

Snapping to something isn't helpful - it doesn't work in this case.

I would like to read some suggestions and hints on that point. Thanks in advance,

    Paul

  2. The question was asked that way here for sure some years back too: can you display only the brush tips, at best scalable, with AP,  like you can do in PS? Apparently nothing has changed, as I read though some sources;  at least I haven't found a way - have I overlooked something? Two more screenshots to explain: With PS I can only display the brush tip, with Affinity Photo (think Designer it's the same) the brushstroke is always there and you can't resize the preview -> if you work a lot with very large brushes, like me, it's quite annoying.

Would be nice to have a solution for that ...

Thanks and all the best, Paul
