I do have serious problems working with Affinity Publisher lately. I updated to version 1.9 running on MacOS 10.15.7. I work with a MacBook Pro with a 2.3 GHz QuadCore Intel i7 and 16 GB RAM.
I'm hardly able to open the file of a photo book I'm working on because I get a pop up telling me that 'primary storage is out of space' and I have to close the file now.
Sometimes Publisher is able to open the file and lets me do some work but when I try to save the file a similar pop up tells me that the changes can't be saved because 'primary storage is out of space'.
In case I try to export the file to PDF - guess what - I get a pop up 'primary storage is out of space'
3 Screenshots attached.
I managed to export the book of 246 pages to PDF doing only a couple of pages at a time (not more than 30) and stitching the multiple PDFs together but it cost me innumerable tries and took various days.
As you can imagine, this is not a way to work professionally, Publisher became impossible to work with and Designer is not much better (but files are usually smaller). I seriously think of going back to Adobe InDesign which I left for Affinity.
Any solutions in sight? Maybe an update?
Best regards
Chris
