  1. Hello, for all "non-german-understanding"... I try my next video with English Subtitles. difficult, difficult  Ciao Jack
  2. Hello Madame and Maritan, perhaps it is the browser? I use Safari. Screenshot of my view underneath. Do you see this link?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVmLhnQHaZs Thank you both, I'll try my best for the next tutorial. Ciao Jack
  3. Hi Rosa, can you post an example picture of your work or variations? You made me curious! Ciao / Tschüss / Tchau Jack
  4. Hello Madame, I don't know. The YouTube-Link is there. Don't worry! Camouflage because it's top secret, very top secret ( ... was a joke....) But seroiusly: It's there as a complete preview windows where you can watch directly. Others see that too. Check your Computer Settings (latest Updates done? Flashplayer-Update?) It's not on Vimeo, but on YouTube. If it doesn't work: Search in YouTube for "Affinity Photo - Planet". The Channel Name: CTU Jack Bauer So far, the videos are in german, but next time I try englisch subtitles. Ciao Jack
  5. Good Morning Rosa, thank you for the flowers, as we say in Germany. :D On YouTube, under the video, there is the video description. I noticed there from where I have the files and how they are called. The lense flare is a brush from www.brusheezy.com. Search for "Camera + Sun Glare Brushes" by Mark-B. (Royalty Free) The planet is made by a texture from www.cgtextures.com. It's ice on concrete. Search for "Ice0034_5_L" (Royalty Free) The next tutorial will come this weekend. And this time, I try it with english subtitles. Greetings from the very hot Berlin (more than 30°) Ciao Jack
  6. Hello, I have a proposal: In the "Forum" under "Tutorials" separate categories for Affinity Photo & Affinity Designer. Perhaps with separate categories, perhaps with a "must do" click while creating a new topic, where I have to click a button for which software the Tutorial or question or feature request would be. Reason: When I'm looking for a topic, I often find one, which I don't want to find. Future: I think with an increasing number of softwares (publisher?) and platforms (windows?) and users this will be more important. What do you think? Bye CTU Jack Bauer
  7. Yes, I noticed that you mean another topic. No problem. And yes, I like both softwares. I think so far: Pixelmator is easier, when you will use some of the gorgeous effects. Lighting, sepia pixelate etc. Affinity Photo is better when you want more possibilities.
  8. Hi RNKLN, Thank you! Meanwhile I got another tip: Everytime when I use the pen tool, there will be created a new layer "curves". I don't click "selection" but I fill it with any color. So I can create many layers "curves" and group all the layers together. With "cmd & click" I have the selection. A little bit tricky, but it works.... Greetings from Berlin
  9. Hello goju 1, sorry, I don't know. In my german version, there seems to exist a different name. But: Your asked in the wrong categorie. This is "Tutorials". Maybe, there are more answers to be expected in "Questions". Ciao CTU Jack Bauer
Also besonders interessant für Umsteiger. Viel Spaß beim Ansehen. Yeahaaa! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUo-yJWweE
  13. Picture? Seems to be a white overexposed Picture with a white background .
  14. Hi, I think the photo is difficult to treat because it is not very sharp. But it is possible. The selection is good but it have to be refined. - click on the layer with the person - "cmd & click" on the thumbnail to select - then click on any selection tool - on top the selection tool bar appears - click on "refine" - a window opens: reduce the featherness reduce the selection size until you are happy choose "output as a new layer". This allows you to look if you are done right non destructively. - click "invert selection" - then "backspace" to delete the unwanted background - when you are happy with the result "cmd & D" to deselect, when you are not happy: try again with different parameter for difficult areas: in the refine window at the bottom you find the px-parameter-box. That's for the refine brush. Brush carefully over difficult areas and look if it works. If not, you can delete the steps with "cmd & Z". Everyone of us needs training with this. Especially with a new software. A task for the dark days..... lol  Try it further and further. I think, this selection needs 1-5 minutes. I'm curious if it helps and works. I provide Tutorials in german on YouTube. Ciao Jack
  15. Hi goju 1, perhaps your selection is too soft or enlarged. To manage this: - Activate any selection tool - then on top a selection tool bar appears - click "Refine" - a new window opens where you can choose your selection options Affinity Photo provided some Video Tutorials to this topic. I hope, this would be helpful. Greetings from the rainy Berlin
  16. It would be a topic for "Support - Questions"or "Support - Feature Requests" Ciao Jack
  17. Hello mvicos, you're right. I couldn't find that filter, too. In my opinion a main feature. Perhaps, we start together a feature request? Ciao Jack
  19. Thank you very much! :) I'm still learning the software and that encourage me for further projects. I switched from Pixelmator to Affinity Photo .
  22. Hello, and thank you for that topic. It is soooooooo easy. But I didn't know that. So, perhaps a little symbol/icon in the layer palette a drop down at "layers" would be fine, because in my opinion others will be searching too. Ciao Jack
