  1. Thanks Old Bruce. I do think most are tested in Adobe only. Never considered that they might not include all the layers, so there might be variability in opening files even of the same format. Thanks for your input!
  2. Hi, I've checked everywhere I could think of to find the answer but have not yet found it so I thought I'd post on here. My question: when I purchase assets (clipart flowers etc.) from a design site and want to unlock the layers and get in and change up the colours, how do I do that? The assets often come in different file formats: ai, eps, png, svg. I'm most interested in changing eps but would love simple instructions on how to change any of them. I have seen a few tutorials and have followed them but without success. The layers never seem to unlock, even when there's that little arrow next to the layers, and I click it, it doesn't drop down to show individual layers that I could then edit. I am completely new at this so there may be something real simple that I am missing or haven't tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, I'm most interested in opening and editing eps files, but really would like to learn how to open ai, svg and png as well. Thank you! p.s. I do have the full Affinity suite
  3. Update: everything is up and working, looks like I just needed to reboot my computer.
  4. Hi all, the issue is resolved. Thank goodness. Looks like it was an issue with the user 🙂. Long story short I simply rebooted my computer and everything worked! So happy. Anyway, lots to learn for this newbie!
  5. Hi everyone, since the new updates I cannot open any files of any type, old or new...😕 Any idea what’s going on? This is driving me crazy. I use the Affinity Suite every day and it always worked perfectly. I’d appreciate any help. Thanks!
  6. Hi, I have a Mac OS with Big Sur 11.2. I have the Affinity suite purchased from the Mac App Store. Recently they updated and now I cannot access any of my files. I seem to be able to go in and create a new document, to save it, etc. but if I close it and want to re-open it, I just get a spinning beachball. This happens with all documents. I worked with Affinity Designer all day on Friday and it worked perfectly. However, once I went over to Publisher (which was also working fine on its own), I noticed that it wouldn't allow me to go to Designer persona, which is what I needed to do. Then, when I went to open these programs on Saturday morning, neither would allow me to open my files. Will this just work itself out? No idea what to do. I would appreciate any help! Thank you
