I've reinstalled 1.8.5 but have download the Beta version of 1.9. This can be installed and not interfere with 1.8.5 so I can evaluate all the new features. I'll wait a while before committing to the full new 1.9 upgrade.

How do you do a clean install of 1.9 when I ran the installer it installed as an update to 1 8.5.

I've tried focus stacking 16 .jpg images. It works but the resulting image has a broad black bar across the bottom obscuring about a quarter of the image. I'm using it on a Windows 10 PC with the latest OS update.

I find release 1.9 either crashes or freezes. I'm using the release 1.9 on Windows 10 PC with latest is OS upgrade. It continually goes to a white screen or just locks up and I have to restart my computer. I have tried focus merge with 10 raw files and the program just freezes. I then turned the raw files to jpg but after about 5 files the program locks up.when I finally got 10 jpg files after having to restart my computer the resulting focus merge image was black on the bottom quarter of the frame I reinstalled version 1.8.5 and everything works fine and focus merge using raw files works perfectly.
