  1. I'm not using mm as the settings but inches. I am close not not 100% by using width at 4.3 and DASH 0 4.28 0 0 But it's not precise, and I need them as precise as possible
  2. Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find it. I am trying to make dotted lines that the dots are 1.5mm large and the spacing between them (*<-->* the distance between the *s here) are 6mm apart. But I'm not sure what the spacing should be set to. Any help? To try and clarify, i do not want it from inside one dot to the inside of another (middle, or otherwise). I want it from where one ends and the other begins.
  3. Thank you for the reply. I figured it out, took me a while. yes. I created a dotted lined rectangle the size I needed, added a pair if scissors, which got cropped in half as I needed it to, to each side in the middle and across from each other. Added my copyright and logo faded out, and saved ads template. Then I make a working area bigger than my job, create my pattern, then add artboards 8.5x11 that overlap on the margin lines I zoom in and make sure the scissors meet perfectly, then dupe the main pieces (which are grouped together). When I’m done I simply print Artboards, not full document, and save as pdf so I can make as many as I need. and voila. yeah, it’s not as simple as I’d like, but it works.
  4. I all, New Affinity Designer guy here with about 25% graphics knowledge. First I am loving what I can do in Designer and love the fact that (unlike some companies I won't mention) they didn't buy into the subscription based crap that video games went to (If I buy it, I don't want to pay monthly/annually) - Rant over... I do leather work in my spare time (Wallets, key chains, ladies bags, that sort of thing). So I have bought a lot of leather templates off of ETSY, but decided there were several I have that I have designed for custom work and don't want to lose, so I am redoing them from the hard board template I made into paper form - print and go. A few of my patterns flow over a regular letter size, 8.5x11 page. I've got my margins set at .25" all the way around and am printing at 100% - no scaling. I've noticed a lot of the patterns I buyu have a dotted line around the edge with a 1/2 pair of scissors . I cut on the dotted border and line the 2 scissor halvers up. 1) How do I get that same border for printing 2) If my work is larger than . single page/artboard, how do I get them to not cut off any space between the margin and the paper edge, but instead am able to actually have it split "perfectly" across pages to print , tape together and but my leather. Thanks in advance.
