IMHO that's an unfortunate design decision, it takes ages to select something properly with my finger not to count the fingerprints left everywhere.

Thank you I was trying to do things exactly like in the video but in my case there's a bug, the crosshair does not appear in the middle of the loupe, and if somehow i manage to place anyway I am not able to reposition it. I also wonder why it is not possible to do the same using the pen which is much more precise than a finger. thank you again for your help.

Hello, I am new to Affinity Photo on iPad, I am not able to use clone and healing tools with the pencil. I am not able to "tap and hold" the loupe appears but the little cross doesn't. With the finger i was able to make the cross appear, then i am not able to select another source area. Anyone can explain what am i doing wrong? I am using iPad Pro 2021 + Apple Pencil 2 Cheers V.

I had the same issue, I fixed it by setting the "Blend Mode" to "Normal" in the brush settings.

The Macro panel has an issue, In the macro view, if I click on the library tab the whole macro panel disappears.
