As far as I know the only open source library with applicable lisencing for Finnish hyphenation and grammar check is libvoikko. The trouble is that Voikko is incompatible with Hunspell that Affinity publisher is using. So currently there is no working solution for Finnish hyphenation unless devs decide to build support for libvoikko just to get finnish hyphenation working. I am guessing it's not the highest priority on their task list right now as 1.9 just got published.

Hi Chris B, The directory you mentioned stays empty even after Photo crashes. I do have scandinavian alphabets in my user name. Could that be the reason for dump not getting saved?

Hello! I updated the whole Affinity suite to 1.9 and Publisher, Designer and Photo now crashes right on splash screen. You really should put more effort to testing before publishing.
