  1. Interesting for me to see these posts from just over a year ago, trailed Designer 1 but found I still wanted to stick with my Corel student edition. Just trailed V2.4 and see it much improved and robust. I draw small parts, floor plans & quick line sketches for hobbies, I like the assets tool, I like a lot of things, I don't like the pen cursor - seem to start & finish a line just a bit away from where I need, be nice to have a cross available. Interesting that the measure/dimension tool has not changed in over a year - I found measure quick, just wish it stuck around when I moved the mouse. I missed DrawPlus but Corel student was a good buy, I also use Inkscape now and again.
  2. Thanks @Alfred, it's part of my problem, had a trail last year - won't let me trail V2.4 cos last trail expired !! now trailing under a different email on an old small slow lappy, don't want to keep doing this. Will keep an eye on the Beta pages and listen for woops of joy I do understand that the software is moving forward and do expect to see these features and more before I grow old.
  3. Would realy like to see this working, I sketch drawings to scale mostly in Corel (cheap student version) and Inkscape, would jump to Designer2 if the same functions worked. testing V2 and set a scale for drawing (waiting for this a long time) but ruler is in a world of it's own. I don't want to buy V2 only to find these functions appear in V3 and I have to buy again. listen up serif, please.
  4. Thanks again for your time @v_kyr I have a copy of CorelDraw2018 happy & comfortable with it and scale/dimensions are wonderful, would just like to see these items in designer.
  5. Thanks for the reply @v_kyr I don't want all that cad stuff, simple floor plans, garden plans and simple components will do me, draw to scale & print - I will be a happy boy.
  6. In the same boat, use Corel for scale drawing, just acquired Designer and would very much like to see/be able to draw to scale.
