Welsbach got a reaction from walt.farrell in Spellchecking while writing
I don’t know why I get these options. This is just the question. I guess it’s because the app offers this menu. There is no difference in landscape mode.
But we waste already too much time for this issue. It was just by accident that I had the idea to look, if this feature now works. I would like to use publisher on iPad for some smaller things, when I use Publisher on my Mac. But will not happen too early. At first it must be ready. Especially the book feature and the import of files with style sheets must be so that one can use them. May be with version 3. And may be than it works on the iPad as expected. For now it’s enough to know that it is as before.
Once more: Thank you for trying to help. It’s not your fault (I believe....)

Welsbach got a reaction from Aleksandar Kovač in Books. Synchronising style
It is also much easier, if the book has many parts which one can locate easily and edit. If you have a book of 700-800 pages it is not easy to find the beginning of a particular chapter. But it is easy, if every chapter is a single file and part of a book. Here the advantage is, that you don’t need to care for the right page numbering etc.
The people of Affinity throw an eye to InDesign. They can learn there a lot.

Good to know. This means, it is a bug by design. Nice.
May be somebody at Affinity as a dictionary and can look, what the word »to synchronize« means. Until this happens it is clear the the book feature is useless. It will take a while until Publisher is ready.

It’s all very complicated to me, I’ve uninstalled all three Affinity programs.

I installed the beta. On MacOS it seems to work now. Thank you. At least I know it’s not my fault.

Thank you. When I click on the image (I understood this, it’s not too difficult), there comes a read cross (which indicates as I guess that the file is not available) and that’s all.

There is this very cool window which opens when one starts Affinity Photo. There I can read that I can open the samples by clicking on them, How does thos work? If I click on the icon nothing happens.

That’s interesting. Can you chang the size of the tools? I can’t and I’ve got here the message that this is impossible. For me (I’m mich younger} the are too small and too dim. So the program is quite useless...
