I like to work with colour wheel for every project I make, RGB or CMYK but, when I open new document in CMYK even though I had colour wheel set in Colour Studio it will switch to CMYK sliders. That wasn't the case in previous version.
I don't know if it's a bug or intended behaviour but it is annoying. -
When using knife tool with shift I can only cut through object vertically, horizontally or 45° angle. I don't know if it's intended behaviour or a bug but it's not what I expected.

We haven't done a good job of explaining this either in-app or via our help. I'll see that we improve that.
You are right. You haven't done a good job.
First you created a problem, that none of us wanted or asked for, and now you just going to explain to people how to work around this problem.🤣
How about you guys just fix the problem by bringing .exe or. msi installer with install path I can not only choose myself but access without any problems.
Can you do that?

I see some comments about Affinity not being a professional software.
To those who say that, I have a question.
What makes a piece of software a professional software?
I use Affinity Suite for work and the problem I have with it is not the ability to integrate it with FastStone, DXO or any other program, but the fact that i no longer can (by defaut) set up my graphics tablet shortcuts for Affinity. I could of course set the shortcuts globally and not per app basis but that greatly affects my workflow in negative way.
So yes, going the app route is no go for me. Sure I did find the solution but that's not the point.
I, as a user, paying user for that matter, shouldn't be looking for workarounds just to use the software the way I want to use it.

If thats the case and you can simply Unzip it and run normally then... I see zero benefits from making it windows app.
I thought it could help limit piracy or make it harder but if all you have to do is unzip it... 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Well, you still have to register it to start using it, but there is a workaround that could permit you to work on trial version for unlimited time.

How much did those cost? Was it £36 each like the Affinity apps are? Or £60 each before the current discount? Could you get Photoshop AND Illustrator AND InDesign for an upgrade fee of £89? Was the upgrade price for the three Creative Suite tools the same, or less for the Affinity Universal Licence even at the non-discount rate of £155?
How much did those Adobe tools cost to buy in the first place? How many full version updrades to Affinity do you think the same amount of money could pay for?
Adobe was mentioned just as example, not to compare prices of each developer.
Ok, I give you another one.
To download images from my memory cards to PC I use program called Downloader Pro.
The full version costs $45 and if you are existing user and want to upgrade then the price is just $23, and you get free upgrades for 18 months from the date of purchase.
Better?

When I learned that there is a new version of Affinity I wanted to upgrade straight away.
Logged in to my account looking for upgrade options and couldn't believe there's none.
I mean, come on guys, even Adobe, before they've done the subscription thing had full price for new customers and upgrade price for existing ones. So in my book, not cool.
Price and so called 40% discount.
There are not so many improvements to the software to justify 40% price increase, and given the fact that it's now an app and not a program like before I think you have gone too far and you know it.
That is way you slapped that V2 launch offer of 40% to bring the price down to what it was before.
The only benefits I see is to buy the whole Affinity Suite that you call V2 Universal Licence.
Now, I don't care for Mac or iPadOS versions but I can clearly see that there is 20% discount on every single product compared to the prices of previous version and that alone is good enough reason for me to buy Affinity 2, which I did.
I'm going to ask for a refund because you've turned good programs into crappy apps, invisible to other programs, but that's for another thread.

I, like so many of you, am also very disappointed with the route Serif took for its programs.
I also encountered few problems after installing new apps, like lack of shortcuts for example, or difficulties to add .exe files to other programs. The solution that might work for all of you is:
download msix file of your desired program,
extract it (unzip it) to a folder using 7-zip,
go to that folder, your .exe file should be located in App subfolder.Run the program like you would normally.
It did work for me.
I was able to place that folder to any directory, create shortcuts and connect external programs to use Affinity.- ChopperNova, s.auler and kenmcd

I believe there is a bug within Affinity programs.
When picking colours using Colour Picker Tool from toolbar colours are what I expect, but when using picker from Studio Colour panel and picking colours from outside of Affinity program it shows completely different values. You can check attached video.

Knife Tool straight cut not working as expected.

Cool, but shouldn't that info be in status bar?
