When processing a panoramic stitch, the crop tool will only function in "original ratio" mode. In fact, there is no longer a way to choose any other mode. Nor is there a modifier key that will change the mode. ?

In the panorama tool, there is an extremely useful crop option called "crop to opaque". However, this option does not exist in the regular crop tool, which is also the "rotate" tool. I have never seen a photo editor without this feature for cleaning up a photo after rotation. Am I missing something? Is there some way to do this easily? It's part of my regular work flow and I'm wasting scads of time dragging the four sides around trying to get the optimal cleanup crop.

The topic has been quiet for awhile, but I don't see that the feature has been added. Are we all still waiting? I agree that it would be extremely useful, and kind of basic.
