Hi meb,
how can I set algorithm (Bicubic or Lanczos) as default?

I believe this color is controlled within the operating system. In El Capitan it is System Preferences>General>Highlight Color

Erwe got a reaction from 1Ameliawab in [AP] Mask Tools in Develop Persona
It would be fine if you could adjust the brush opacity in modules Develop. Also other mask editing options would be great.

Erwe reacted to anon1 in Applying live filter layers to specific channel, possible?
Go to the channels panel (by default in the bottom right) (or View > Studio > Channels)
Right klick of one of the channels, right klick on one > load to pixel selection
- then you can either click on an adjustment layer which will use the selection as a mask (which can be edited using brushes for example)
- or you can klick on the mask icon which gives you a mask based on the selection which can then be applied to anything (IMO more flexible)
EDIT:
works also with live filter layers
Sidenote 1:
I guess to to this in the LAB space you´d have to set your document color format to Lab and then you also have LAB channels.
In the next update (or the current beta) you can also use a Levels adjustment for example in a LAB mode and target one of these parts although the document is set to RGB. So the adjustment layers can be applied in a different color space then the document.
sidenote 2:
With the upper channel a right klick allows to load to pixel selection
The lower channels right klick allows to create a greyscale layer from them which can be useful for further editing, you can then go to layer > rasterize to mask to use it as a mask.

Erwe got a reaction from Leigh in [AP] Masks
Thank you. I always looked in the context-menu. The use of masks and adjustment layers is powerful, but not easy to use. Since there is a lot to learn.

Erwe got a reaction from 1105Maxinedex in [AP] Color settings
Can someone tell me how I must adjust Affinity Photo that captured RAW photos exported as JPG look similar?
I work with the Canon EOS 600 in RAW format, color space is AdobeRGB. I have already tried many settings, but the colors do not match so special. The best result I've get with the following settings: Apple RAW Converter, sRGB color profile during export. With the default setting (Serif Converter and document profile at export) the pictures are a little bit green. -
Erwe reacted to Dale in Why did you choose the file format extensions .afdesign and .afphoto instead of shorter variants like .afd or .afp?
I'm up for tea and crumpets, but the extension needn't be discussed :) Unless the team fancy making DOS Affinity apps? Guys? DOS would FLY on modern hardware.

Hi dackelwaldi51
Thanks for posting on the forums! :)
You can go into Preferences>User Interface and change the font size used in the app, it is not possible at the moment however to increase the size of the icons.
This has been requested in the past so it could be an option we include in the future.

You can use Calibre to create a PDF version of the help, but it will require you to experiment with the settings to get the best results. I've had good results converting the help to an EPUB file and using iBooks to read it. Try this:
Go to Applications Right click Affinity Photo and click Show Package Contents Go to Contents > Resources and right click AffinityPhoto.help and click Show Package Contents Go to Contents > Resources and copy de.lproj & shared to your desktop Open Calibre and drag index.html from the de.lproj folder into Calibre - this will add Affinity Photo Help: Get Started to the list of books Right click Affinity Photo Help: Get Started and select Convert Books > Convert Individually Make sure PDF is selected from the Output format drop down Make any changes needs in the other sections and click OK -
Erwe got a reaction from AdrianKLægreid in Import RAW files from Photoes app
There is a roundabout way. Select the desired image. From the File menu choose Export -> unprocessed image. Then the RAW image is e.g. the desktop (or wherever you want) stored.
