  1. Thank you for the reply Callum. I’ll remember this next time. I should have used the cloning tool with the sources palette open as the first edit anyway. I’m still amazed at the Focus Merge function and I think it knocks the socks off any other Focus Stacking software out there!
  2. I have recently been using the Focus Merge function and I’ve been very impressed with the results. Today I learned how to edit the Focus Merge using the Sources palette and the cloning tool. So I went back to a previous focus merge image that was done previously that has been saved and edited with numerous layers, groups and non-destructive adjustments. I noticed that I am not able to see/view the original “sources” of the focus merge in the sources palette. At what point in the development/retouching/editing of my .afphoto file are the original source images from the focus merge no longer available? I was wanting to edit a portion with the clone tool to correct an area that may have a sharper image from another source file. I realize this is something I should have done at the outset, however I unfortunately, was not aware I could improve the focus merge with this tool at the time.
  3. Thank you Walt! That was it! I checked in preferences to see if I could set this to not automatically kick in with every file but couldn't find it. Is that possible? If not I'll just have to remember to turn it off each time. Thanks again.
  4. Recently I purchased FastRawViewer. I use it to cull files before bringing then into AffPhoto. I suddenly noticed that I am seeing more image in FastRawViewer than I am seeing in AffPhoto. It came to my attention because I noticed, in FastRawViewer, that I had clipped two corners with the lens shade on a 8mm fisheye lens. I don’t remember seeing the two corners showing the lens shade edge when I looked through my view finder. However, when I brought the file into AffPhoto to develop the RAW file it appeared cropped. Showing much less image than I could see with FastRawViewer. So my question; is AffPhoto clipping the edges of my RAW files? Or is this due to the fact that I am using a DX D3300 Nikon which is APS-C? I’ll attach two screen captures showing the difference in the two images. There is quite a bit more image seen with FastRaw Viewer. Camera: DSLR Nikon D3300, Lens: Rokinon HD*M-N 8mm f/3.4 HD fisheye lens. (This lens is designed for the APS-C and will produce a rounded image with a full frame camera). And my 2nd question is; Will this particular phenomenon go away if/when I upgrade to a full frame camera?
  5. I am attempting to Aquire Image from an HP Officejet Pro 2586. It works sometimes, but it frequently crashes Affinity Photo (version 1.8.6.) I'm not sure if this is a Photo problem or an HP problem. My MacOS: High Sierra 10.13.6. iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) Memory 12Gb. Anyone having similar problems?
