To be honest with you, until I made the point I was under the impression I had the Studio Driver haha. I'm not sure if/when I manually switched it back to the Game Ready driver. Regardless, now that I have switched to 537.42, enabling hardware acceleration prompts that I have an "Unsupported Graphics Card". I'm fairly certain I had already restarted my PC after the driver switch, but I'll try again after I have a chance to do that again.

Recently, I'm unable to open an existing afphoto file, open an image, or create a new document in Photo 2.2.0 in Windows. I've tried going back to 2.1.1, and the issue seems to persist? I've rebooted and uninstalled/reinstalled the app (even clearing the associated Photo roaming data). Designer works just fine. The issue is reproducible 100% with Hardware Acceleration enabled. Disabling it fixes the issue. I haven't changed any new hardware; the only real new thing is perhaps a Windows update (I'm not sure the last time Photo was working). I have an NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super with Game Ready Driver 550.09. Reproduction steps: Ensure hardware acceleration is enabled File > New Press Create with any template/size I've attached a crash report. 1a7fb98e-7d9e-43df-acf0-1ef63c21d240.dmp

I was able to get to the preferences when opening the application via the Start Menu (aka without opening a file), and disabling OpenCL did work for both applications on `1.10.4`. Agreed that an OpenCL issue would be related to a GPU driver. While I didn't explicitly update the driver, when I went back to check to just make sure, lo and behold, someone (NVIDIA or Windows) automatically updated my driver at some point to some 510 driver (which I'm guessing is a special Windows 11 build because Geforce Experience doesn't list anything over 500 as the latest versions). Downgrading my NVIDIA graphics driver (some unknown 510+ version shown in Geforce Experience) to the latest Geforce Studio Driver fixed my issues (after reenabling OpenCL in Affinity products). Thanks @walt.farrell and @v_kyr for the help!

Upgrading Windows 11 to the latest Insider Preview build (now `22499.rs_prerelease.211105-1550`) still has crashes happening for `1.10.3` and `1.10.4`. I'm not seeing any information in the Windows Event Viewer when the crashes happen. Below is my `Log.txt` which show that OpenCL had issues creating a context. This just sounds like a compatibility issue with something new that got introduced in some Windows 11 (or accompanying driver) update. I'm on Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview (Build `22494.rs_prerelease.211029-1421`), with Affinity Designer `1.10.4.11998` and Affinity Photo `1.10.4.11998` and both applications open fine if I just run the application from the start menu. However, both of them will exit whenever I use `File -> Open` a afdesign/afphoto file or open the application via double clicking on an existing afdesign/afphoto file. When double clicking on an existing file (with the application closed), I do see the splash screen for the expected amount of time, but the full GUI never loads (and the exe finishes). Just tried another thing, `File -> New` also closes the application (in both applications) after I push the Create button in the new wizard. This bug was introduced in `1.10.4` as I know I had it working in `1.10.3` (because I only download updates when prompted after loading the application). I've attached two Affinity Photo crash dumps (located in `%APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports` if you see any as well @BacMan12 to see if you're having the same issue). One has a `-open` suffix in the file name where I double clicked on an aphoto file, and the other has a `-new` suffix where I did `File -> New` in Photo. 97b9b417-2594-4a4e-aab5-40ac64f79c1b-new.dmp3194e2c6-c3d3-4b7b-b8a2-968277f5555d-open.dmp Any way we can download old versions of the applications? Edit: I found old installers in my downloads folder; seems that I have to uninstall the apps first to be able to backtrack, but I believe that should be fine.

Hi! I'm trying to move my designs from Krita to Affinity designer, and I'm running into an issue of how to change the radius of the rounded cap of a stroke. As you can see below, I'm trying to match the dark blue to the light blue. I'd like to have the rounded cap, but I'd like to change the radius so it's not as rounded. I tried changing the corner radius of the end nodes with the square cap, but that didn't work (as I expected). I couldn't find anything through googling or looking at the docs. Thanks!
