dancebles reacted to v_kyr in scattering a lot of text on a page randomly..
Should be a matter of using a hebrew capable font and support for those too!
WordItOut Python based tools can for sure (if used in the right manner), see therefor ...

dancebles reacted to David in Яuislip in adding symbol (watermark asset) to a macro is not possible
A pleasure, hope you get it working
An alternative approach if you have documents with varying layer constructions would be to rename one layer as 'target' or 'PUTtheWATERMARKunderHERE' and search for that instead

@dancebles:
merge visible is available via layers stack, right click, merge visible
@firstdefence
please have a look at the doc attached file. I've added vector shapes with 1 px and 5px stroke, and 2 blur / dust & scratches filter layers with identical settings (30 px / 10%).
The d&s does far more harm to the thin lines vs. the bilateral blur. (enable them to check result).

Thats why i asked for the document 😂

Without knowing the effect on the rest of the image you could blur the hell out of that sample and it would not be relevant if whatever isn't being affected so we can't have a point of reference.

If you zoom out, the rendering might not correctly show the effect of filters like sharpen or dust & scratches. Simply merge visible to get an accurate rendering.
It would help us to solve your issue if you can upload the original file, or at least a big enough portion, using a lossless file format (e.g. afphoto, or a zip file with tiff etc)
personally I’m no big fan of d&s filter as it can produce hard edges. You need to really tweak the settings to get a good result.
Depending on your specific file, a blur filter like bilateral blur might be better suited.

dancebles reacted to David in Яuislip in adding symbol (watermark asset) to a macro is not possible
If you want to use it as a batch job, the documents will need consistent layouts so the following approach will place the asset on the 3rd layer down:
Make sure nothing is selected
Start recording
Click top layer, accept Select layer 1 from the top
Click on layer below, accept Select layer 1 below current (note 1)
Click on the Insert Behind the Selection button
Double click on an Asset in the Assets panel
Place the Asset
Stop recording
Now create/open a document with several layers
Run the macro and note that the star appears on layer 3, name it 1
Run it again and note that the star appears on layer 3, name it 2
Run it again and note that the star appears on layer 3, name it 3
Run it again and whoops
The macro stores the asset and the insertion point so it will locate the star at the bottom right center of an 800 x 600px image
Thus you will need seperate macros for each document size , asset and insertion point
Works from the edit panel, library or in a batch job
(1) you might expect clicking the 2nd layer and choosing Select layer 2 from the top would work but it doesn't

A much simpler method would be to make the group of text an Asset and drag it onto any image you want. You could then go on to make a sheet of copyright text that you could overlay over any image.

Hi @dancebles,
Did at some point you converted the text to image (pixels)? You should keep the text as text to be able to resize it without problem.

On the Mac (mine anyway) it is Command + ` the one with the ~ character. The key under the Escape key, above the Tab key usually (wrongly) called the Tilde key
Edit to add
In addition to, should have been in here.

thank you! it's working nice!
if i will have more questions about it i will return here

dancebles got a reaction from Callum in a deisgner question: why does my layer effect in this example won't color the line?
thank you. the reason i didn't thought it is the problem is because the with shows no stroke in the color panel.
great. i can now continue...!

dancebles got a reaction from Move Along People in if i will buy the windows version because there is no linux one. would you convert my license in a possible future linux version?
i'm not sure the heating engineer example is the same general thing
i also wonder why it is not possible to easily allow one license per purchase for whichever platform
too bad there are just two options which are serif and adobe. but of course it is very good that serif is an alternative to adobe to some degree.
i'm not very familiar with graphics creation but still use affinity photo for exporting photos at this point.
my original question meant to just get the answer about linux conversion.....
thank you

dancebles reacted to v_kyr in a little question about white space appearing between shapes? and two more questions
Check in the transform panel if both shapes are really seamless placed beneath each other (x and width pixelpositions). If not, then select one shape and use the arrow left or right keys to position it seemless (zoom in/out to see things better). Further check if the line disappears when you overlap the shapes slightly. For vector tools every sketch usually creates a new layer. If you create a new empty layer (see the layers panel buttons bottom bar) first and select that one, all other sketches will be created as sublayers of that layer. Or use a montage etc. I don't think you can tweak that UI portion with gamma settings or the like, you can switch between dark and light UI mode, but I doubt that will change much for contrasts here.
