  1. Thank y'all very much for the tips and help. My main issue specifically with this image was 1) it's not a vector file and 2) it was made incorrectly so that when I applied those tips above, the stars and date when black too. Took some finangling to make those elements transparent but I got it figured out. I'm still confused why I can't simply change the "color" to white or black from the color tool. I understand that white and black are "the absence" of color basically, but if it's giving me a preview of white and black on the swatch, it should show white or black, not gray. That's why I thought it was just a setting somewhere. I come from using GIMP a very little bit, but on there you can slide the color all over the place it will display white and black like I'm talking about
  2. This feels like a very stupid question, but how are you supposed to change a png "color" to white or black? Everytime I move the color slider up or down for white or black, the color palette says it's white or black, but the png shows gray on the screen. It will export gray as well. What am I missing? Is there an odd color setting that I'm missing? Examples below. I tried searching and couldn't find anything. I really don't under why this is hard, it has to be an easy answer like a setting I have messed up or something. I figured out that I can do a "color overlay" and make it white or black, but for this particular logo with cut outs in the middle, this won't work. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you
