[Affinity Publisher 2 Autonumbering / Running Numbers Feature]

Affinity Publisher is a really good and powerful publisher software. For me, there is one glaring missing feature - autonumbering or running numbers across different elements e.g. Numbers that increase automatically across next consecutive tables or text frames perhaps with every manual copy and paste (I am not talking about page numbers), or much like the autoflow of inserting multiple images but with an accompanying automatic increment of a number label text. Hope I am making sense.

Please point me in the right direction if this feature is already available.

Problem came back again, but this time it is a thick border around a new default text and Show text flow is not the problem.

My solution is to just go Edit->Defaults->Factory Reset.

I just copy all the layers in the page and paste it into the Master page layer, thanks to the idea from Dominik. This is the easiest for me.

Same here in Affinity Publisher 2.  I can't seem to find any border settings applied anywhere to Border Stroke or Text Frame as suggested above but a line border is there.

Anyone? 🙂

Does anyone know if for text copied from say notepad or Excel sheet, can AP 2 also autoflow text in designated placeholder or grid (in Master page) for cascaded text across pages?

[Affinity Designer Artboard wrong page numbers]

I have many artboards (or layers) in a document. And for some reason, most of the running page numbers or layers is correct in running ascending order, but there are some which do not reflect the correct or same page numbers as in the layers name. Even when layer name is updated or changed, the artboard name still does not change. 

Though I guess this is not a significant problem as the export should follower the layers order, but am I missing something?

[Hidden Layers exported in PDF print despite hidden and made not visible in export]

How to only export certain pages (artboard layers) to PDF print in Affinity Designer?

Layers are made not visible in Designer Persona. In Export Persona, layers are made not visible in export. Upon Export to PDF print, do not export hidden layers box is selected. And yet the whole document is still exported in PDF print.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

(By the way, overall Affinity Designer is a really good software)

I'm no expert. 

But this might have reduced my png somewhat i.e. from 40+ to just 1+MB.

1. Create new document in RGB 8 bit. Paste the copied layer.

2. Right click on the grouped layer and select Rasterize and Trim.

Then export as per usual. Perhaps just one step is enough, I don't know.

Hope this helps.

Note: Once rasterised, that layer act like a flattened image and elements within cannot be manipulated.
