Is there any facility for matching the colours between two images?
 
I've been driving myself insane attempting to get the colours of two photos to match.

The Copy idea so far is working for me. I'm guessing it has to do with permissions on some file within the app bundles when you copy it on your own drive.
My Designer takes about 4 seconds vs about 2 for Photo, but I have a lot more brushes and add-ons with Designer, and I figure that takes a little extra time to load.

Had slow start problem with 1.9, but the "copy the app" trick has worked fine for me. Before I did it, it was slow, but now I get 2-4 bounce at most, probably due to all the danged brushes I'm collecting.

To clarify, I`m using the website version of all Affinity Apps (Photo, Designer, Publisher) and I`m also experiencing the slow startup time (20+ sec on first launch) with all 3 apps.
Will also try, whether the suggested workaround will change this behaviour.
Edit: just tried with a copy of Affinity Photo v 1.8.6 on macOS Big Sur 11.2 and Yes, the first launch after a reboot is now faster, 4+ sec ... will have a look whether this changes after several reboots ...

Second restart is very fast if done within several minutes. After 10 mins or so, restart is slow again. Seems to affect bot direct downloads from serif as well as from App Store. 

I tried to follow this discussion, but I need to highlight that I also see at first start a very slow Photo, but this is not via the App Store but from Affinity directly. I'm running Big Sur 11.1 and of course the version of latest Affinity Photo. The weird thing is that when I installed it for the first time, it was fast at startup, but now it's for the first time slow. Second restart of Photo is fast, very fast to be honest. 

Designer and Publisher (apparently not Photo) launches slowly since MacOS Big Sur 11.1 (i.e. 45 dock icon bumps) in its first launch after Mac reset or after a while closed (versus 4 icon bumps when recently launched).
Why?, is it normal?, is OS guilty or the app?, Apple Silicon Macs will solve it?

I can confirm that turning off WiFi makes no difference also one app was purchased through the Apple App Store and the other two Apps were purchased direct from Affinity. All three take some time to initially load. Running Big sur 11.1

When I launch any of the Affinity apps, they bounce in the Dock about 30 times -- about 20 seconds or so --  before I get the splashscreen. The app launches quickly after this point. 
Subsequent launches are faster. I'm not sure whether it's just the first time after every boot or after ... some time has passed.
Anyone else had this?
 
I'm on Big Sur, if that's a factor. I'm on a 2018 Mac Mini, so it's not a slow hard drive ....!

Hi @Ansgar - I'm afraid that you'll find the delay returns over time. There is a recurring cycle of long delays followed by some period where the applications open normally. I think you are right and it may be to do with licence checking though.

Just to add, non-MAS version on Intel Mac (3.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 | 16GB RAM) is showing the same problem on my Mac running Big Sur 11.0.1
Publisher, Photo and Designer are all taking 25-30 second to launch. Previously it was less than half this.
 

FWIW, my website-downloaded versions worked normally for 2 weeks then suddenly had delayed startup.  Seems neither app-store or website versions are immune.

Ditto on EXTREMELY slow startup since Big Sur and also it does nothing after you select "create" on the start up window to create a new project.  The window disappears and nothing happens.
