  1. Thanks for you compliments brunzenstein. @Wifestealer If I find the time and the muse I will add some English subtitles.
  2. It doesn't fit yet. It's some manual work. Editing perspective distortion in AP, export as new file and import as new fill in AD. :(
  3. You can try to create the perspective distortion on your fill image/pattern while using the Perspective Tool in Affinity Photo. AFAIK AD does not have that yet.
  4. And last but not least a herringbone pattern in AD. You can download the compressed file here: https://mensch-mesch.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/herringbone-pattern-walnut.afdesign.zip Just a sample with the pixel walnut herringbone pattern Keep on drawin' Norbert
  5. Thanks für your reply. Dan send me a note, that the history is not inside my AD file. Sorry - no idea why :/ In this file the history should be available: https://mensch-mesch.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Chevron-pattern.afdesign.zip @Dan I've modified the seams in the sample as simple straight paths and group them. You can now change the seams in one step with the stroke panel. Just the seamless eurooak repeating pattern Keep on drawin' Norbert
  6. I've made to AD files just to get an idea. In the first one you just see a simple pattern with wooden tiles. You can download the zip compressed file here: https://mensch-mesch...or.afdesign.zip In the second one (Chevron pattern) I've saved the history with the file so that you can see my workflow. The compressed zip file you'll find here: https://mensch-mesch...rn.afdesign.zip Just the seamless repeating chevron pattern. On the left ArtBoard you can customize the pattern inside the unlocked symbol. The other symbols around are just for a preview and alignment of your pattern. On the right ArtBoard I've used a png export of the single symbol from the left ArtBoard to fill a rectangle. Hope this helps!
  7. AFAIK AD has no gif animation option/export yet but you can export the single frames and animate them with an app like PicGIF.
  8. The Symbols Tool makes it soooo easy to create seamless repeating pattern in AD. I've published a tutorial on YT where I explain how to draw a simple chain link seamless repeating pattern. Keep on drawin'
  9. In this tutorial I will explain how I've created a simple jigsaw puzzle in AD for a web application. I've used the puzzle pieces as a mask which I have filled with a symbol. The photo is nested inside the symbol. In the 2nd part of this tutorial I explain how to export all 15 puzzle pieces in one step with the Export Persona. Keep on drawin'

  11. Thank you very much @Kodiak! I am working on the front glass (like the one on the AP logo) and will provide a second tutorial. And I promise to devide 360 deg by 9 next time - could not be so difficult even if it is slightly more expensive ;-) just a quick idea ;-)
  12. I've published a tutorial on how to create a photo lens in AD with symbols. Hope you like it.
  13. Hope AD will provide vector based pattern | swatches. I like my fills sharp and crisp.
  14. Some property boxes are not localized. See attached file. It's no drama - just a memory hook ;-)
