  1. Hi, this is a screenshot from my old Drawplus - is there such a feature in Affinity Designer? I've found the blur brush tool but that only seems to work on drawn features - I need to find how to blur the edges on images too. Thank you Caroline
  2. Thanks Callum. Here is a terrible video of me working as I would (sorry not easy holding the phone and looking at the screen). It shows every time I click out to do something on the page, the menu disappears. IMG_0144.MOV
  3. I'm sorry for bombarding this board with questions today - I think this might be my last one for now. Is there a way to pin the adjustment tools onto the screen? By default I seem to have to click into the menu, then the adjustment I need constantly as it keeps disappearing as I work.
  4. I don't always close it but I do on occasion, I'll give that a go now and see if it helps - thanks
  5. Well now I feel REALLY silly hahahahaha - THANK YOU SO MUCH for your patience! It's just to get in the habit of not adding that extra click at the end, simple as that (after all that)
  6. Great thank you - I’ll give it a try. At the rate my computer crashes I spend as much time on my toolbars as destining! Lol
  7. Where is your very last click after you've joined the two ends, before you move onto your next thing to draw? (the video doesn't show the clicks). I know it might sound silly but I find myself clicking all over the place, usually ending up having to click away from my drawing then click back on the pointer tool in the toolbar - it all feels really clumsy with too many clicks, there has to be something I'm missing
  8. I've just done it now to have it fresh in my mind. After the first point, the next one I click and drag to get the right shape and then click it again to remove the handle ready for the next move. When I get to the end I do the same, click back on the first point and drag to shape, but when I click back on the node to finish it off, it changes the line. I can obviously not do that last click, but then where do I click to close things off? (thank you for your time)
  9. Thank you I've been clicking everywhere like that and cant seem to get that to happen, but I'll give it another go
  10. Hi... as I'm sure everyone does I have a certain layout I particularly like to use in Designer - I remove all the items I don't use, add ones in that I do and lay it out to work for me... which is great - but unfortunately my computer is not in it's prime and I have too many crashes (of Affinity itself, also of my entire computer) and every time it crashes I lose it all and have to start again. Is there any way to lock the toolbars in so I don't have to keep re-doing?
  11. Thanks so much! I’ll have a play around to work out the best method for me
  12. Thank you! I'll need to invest in a different mouse because mine really doesn't work for this, but it's the answer so thank you very much
