  1. Version 1.9.1 I've seen this with a Vector Brush as well, but in the Pencil contest menu, the stroke is set to black. I click the Stroke button and change it to invisible. Menu shows invisible (strike-thru), but as soon as I start drawing, the stroke turns back to black. Only way to get around this is to open the Color Studio and set it there. Now figured out that this problem occurs only when the Fill color is forward in the Color Studio. If the Stroke color is in front, the context menu works as expected. Stroke color in context menu should work without regard to what is set in Color Studio.
  2. Along with the (null), the expected behavior of the keyboard ENTER/RETURN key is to process the OK button, but it instead adds a line return. (?) This forces moving to the software keyboard. The keyboard +,-,*,/ keys do nothing, though expected behavior is to process those keys like the software keys do.
  3. Really, can we not get a point release to get Deselect working again? It's changing my muscle memory between the Mac & iPad, because I have to work around it. This shouldn't wait for a major release.
  4. Would like to be able to select multiple objects for action in the file browser so I can close a bunch at one time, rather than tediously hit the tiny menu of each, select Close, hit Yes in the dialog, repeat. Also, as someone else mentioned, the word "Close" should be changed to "Delete," as that's what you're actually doing. Close just makes no sense.
  5. I've also had the UI show up when simple two-finger dragging the image to move it or twisting to rotate, though neither as often as the Undo.
  6. I didn't see the file in Files, only in AD, though I don't doubt it's possible that Files is still hanging onto an invisible file that AD can still see.
  7. And if this issue becomes hard to track down & fix, it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to Hide/Show UI (H? U?). Along with Delete, Deselect, & change brush size.
  8. I wear a Huion finger glove, but it's pretty thin. I found that I do rest my palm on the glass while drawing, but lift my hand off to only hit with the two fingers as I'm using the same hand. But if I do it fast enough – lift-then-tap — then I can get it to happen. But if I never touch the glass while drawing the brush strokes and then two-tap, it doesn't happen. So it sounds like the palm rejection problem, that the state lingers for a moment which gives me time to two-tap & unhide the UI. I specifically tested drawing with my gloved side of hand resting on the glass, fully lifted it off, and two-tapped and still got the problem. Actually, check that. I just reproduced it with my hand hovering fully off the glass — brush, tap, UI showed. Over a dozen times now, hand never touching glass except for the tap. Twice with no glove to see if it was a static problem. Also tried with brush-grab Apple Pencil from hand-tap and still reproduced, in case it's a pencil proximity issue. I use the same hand for brush & tap, which I do in quick succession. Can't reproduce the problem with brush with one hand, tap with the other, but then I would never do that naturally.
  9. Full UI. I know how to do a screen recording, but not how to enable Show Touch. Okay, I've found that it's in the setting of Designer itself under General. I was searching the iOS settings. I now seem to have it repeatable. It appears it may be a race condition where I two-tap Undo quickly after laying down the stroke, though I've had it appear with other taps. Also notice that the brush stroke I'm undoing doesn't actually get undone when the UI pops up. Is there any actual gestures that unhide the UI? AD Taps Open UI Problem 480p.mov
  10. Okay, never mind. Found out the problem is that the graphics system is shut down in Safe Mode, which is also why the entire system ran so painfully slowly. I assume AD & AP have some need of graphics hardware. I remember when starting a Mac in Safe mode used to speed things up. Like back in System 9.
  11. AD Version 1.9.1, MacOS 11.2.3 Trying to track down issue of sidecar constantly freezing, which Apple recommends testing by booting into Safe Mode, which I've done. But when I open an AD file, or create a new one, all I see is the background, nothing else. This is what I see when I create a letter-size document…which doesn't seem to want to upload. Anyway, it's just the dark gray background. I can create objects, paint with the vector brush, but all I see of them is the outline when selected. I don't see the objects themselves other than in the Layer panel. Same happens with latest AP.
  12. I keep having the hidden UI pop up randomly when I two-finger tap to Undo something. I can't get it to appear in any way if I try, but then I don't know if there's a gesture to hide/unhide the UI. Can't find anything about it in documentation. When I'm two-tapping, I'm in the middle of the screen, nowhere near the edges. Drives me freakin' nuts! Wish they would at lead give a keyboard shortcut to hide it again, (like 'H', which is not otherwise used), because trying to hit a small target in the corner with an Apple Pencil takes too much concentration, breaking workflow. Also now noticed that it appears sometimes when I two-finger rotate, which I do a lot! Does anyone know if there's a gesture for showing/hiding the UI?
  13. Okay, spoke too soon, because this morning I couldn't delete as stated above because it AD kept telling me that the file doesn't exist, so I had to shut down, swipe from memory, open again.
  14. Thanks, but I already considered that for a few seconds, but it would not only be painful, but as soon as I started updating them, it would be very easy to lose track of what's been changed and which not unless I also went through the more painful step of finding the widest line, starting there, and then working methodically through to the smallest. Not worth it. I have since found that by selecting the group their in (each character's inking is in its own group), I can apply an Outline FX which gives me pretty much the result I'm looking for. Don't know why, but it seems almost proportional. Thanks again for the help.
  15. I know this is probably a shot in the dark, but is there a way to change all vector brush strokes by an equal percentage? (Because I screwed up at the start.) That is, I have brush strokes of various widths and I want to increase all of them to twice their current width (2 => 4, 1.3 =. 2.6) without having to do each one individually. Thanks.
  16. Actually, I just noticed that it is consistent. On AD Mac, my brush is in pixels but the stroke panel shows points. And turning off Show Line in Points did the same thing, putting the stoke in inches, which my document is set to. Now I have to figure out a new way to work with units.
  17. This is a pain when you hide the UI while working. Click top right to unhide, click bottom left to delete, click top right to hide UI again. (I mean, this is as far as you can reach across the app. Versus: hit Delete key, which is ingrained because it works on the desktop version.
  18. Ah! Figured out I can swipe the missing file & delete it when in Open from iCloud. Not the best, but it's much less work than what I was doing before.
  19. Version 1.9.1/1.9.7 - Opening and working on file stored on iCloud. Save and closed. Deleted file from iCloud on Mac side. When I go back to AD on iPad and select Open from iCloud, the file is still there as though it can be selected. When I tried opening, got alert saying file does not exist. Checking Files app, the file is not there. Only way to get it out of Designer was to close app and then swipe it from memory, opening app from scratch.
  20. Version 1.9.1/1.9.7 - Have UI hidden. When doing Undo with a two-finger tap, approximately 40% of the time, the UI will reappear, though I am tapping nowhere near the Hide UI icon. Lack of shortcut to hide UI, I have to stop and touch the icon in the top corner to hide it again. Have tried purposeful single-finger tap, two-finger tap, two-finger twist and can't figure out the event that causes it to appear
  21. Version 1.9.1/1.9.7 (?) - Have item selected, hit CMD-D, it will not deselect. I have to switch to Move Tool (V) and click on background, which then takes me out of the group I was working on. CMD-W to close the window works, so it's not the keyboard. CMD-D works on Mac.
  22. Look, iCloud is painfully slow and you can't force sync it. Being able to AirDrop native Designer files would be a tremendous timesaver. I know it's only macOS/iOS, but there's no reason to not include it. The current implementation of sharing by AirDrop from the desktop version seems to only send a JPEG, which is not what I'd expect. Thanks.
  23. I have the UI reappear on occasion while two-finger tapping to Undo. It doesn't happen all of the time, but it drives me nuts because I must pause everything to hide the UI again. What makes the UI appear other than touching that Hide UI button on the top right? I can find nothing about it in Affinity documentation or their videos.
  24. Thanks! I searched & searched but didn't make the connection of "Lines in points" to "Brushes in pixels." Except now my brushes are in inches. So instead of 12 px, or 2.9 pts, I get 0.039 inches. Finally figured out I had to go into Document/Resize, change the units, Apply. On the desktop, brushes are in pixels, no matter the units of the document.
