    GIMME LINUX VERSIONS!!!
On a more serious note. Yeah, a linux version would be a massive gamechanger, at least for me. I'm an apple user hands down. I am also a professional graphic designer and 3D artist. I use blender, sketch (and figma which works on linux, yay) and the affinity trinity.
Regarding Linux, there is basically everything i need on linux except a professional DTP, Vector and Imagemanipulation Software (hint hint). I didn't switch completely to Affinity for no reason. It takes adobes cake by a long shot. The only times i struggle is when people send me INDD files with no IDML. But its missing on linux...
Don't get me wrong, Apple and macos are great. But i cannot afford their prices anymore. I want to, but i simply can't. That has gotten a little ridiculous over the last years. And i also don't wanna go back to windows just because it's cheaper. Windows is not for me and i really tried(i used windows for a better part of my early life and lately used it for gaming). Linux on the other hand i always tried and everything worked fine (even gaming over steam and proton worked surprisingly well) but it just wasn't enough without those essential apps.
I know this will probably never happen, but at least i told somebody how i feel.

Hi @travisrogers, yes, managed it! (Albeit with some very minor differences when zoomed in and doing a quick A/B comparison)
When opened in Affinity Photo, the reference TIFF is being colour managed from sRGB to the display profile, so for this challenge I'm assuming this result is the correct one. I'm also using ICC Display Transform and not OCIO Display Transform with the 32-bit EXR.
You can append the colour space to the file name (e.g. "filename aces") and Photo will convert from that colour space to scene linear, but in practice with the file provided it made little to no difference.
The next step is to add an OCIO adjustment layer and go from scene linear to out_srgb (the pointer/friendly name for this is "Output - sRGB").
Finally, to match the look of the 16-bit TIFF, we need to add a simple gamma transform—this is because ICC Display Transform uses the display profile's non-linear transform to ensure parity with the results you'll get when you export to a non-linear image format like JPEG. A Levels adjustment isn't flexible enough here, so the easiest way to achieve this is to add a live Procedural Texture filter and do a power transform of 2.2 for each colour channel. I've attached a screen grab below to illustrate:

And that should be it! I've attached a side-by-side comparison. This is the best match I've been able to achieve so far..

Hi @Strandbummler, if you use the LUT that I have made available along with the steps it will work perfectly for your needs.
You will need to be logged in to download the LUT.
The only thing you will most likely need to change is the OCIO Adjustment layers Destination colour space if REC.709 is not the desired or correct destination for you, most likely want to set that to sRGB as that is usually more common.
Anyway let me know how you go with this method, as I'm interested.

I'm very new to Affinity Photo but I would like to share this workflow.
I have a different solution that provides perfect results.
First I created a LUT that removes the sRGB gamma in Fusion Studio. I used with the create LUT tools and a Gamut node removing sRGB Gamma.
    In Affinity I did the following;
Set the display profile to Unmanaged. Added a OCIO adjustment layer with the setting set in my case...Source colour space ACES - ACEScg and Destination colour space Output Rec.709 (Should look identical to when viewing with the display profile set to OCIO and output Rec.709 and without the adjustment layer on) Added a LUT adjustment layer and imported the LUT created in Fusion. The image will appear now darker but when exported will be correct, as Affinity is adding back the sRGB curve. I have attached the  LUT if interested.
There should be a better way to do this in Affinity Photo as PSD can do this without the LUT and has ICC profiles for working ACES and converting to the proper outputs. Hope there is a native solution soon ;-).

Yeah, cryptomatte in Photo would be really awesome. Since it already supports OpenEXR Multilayer, this would be the missing feature for 3D Post. I can build some kind of own cryptomatte with Material IDs in Blender, but thats cumbersome. Cryptomatte would make my life so much easier.

I just stumbled upon this. I don't really understand the decisionmaking process which shortcuts should be costumizable and which ones not. I hope i don't sound ungrateful. I just wanna know :)

Maybe you could put it into the Layer-Menu in the Menubar, easy as pie, ini't?

Hello, I am a heavy sketch user and i really like the keyboard centric approach they've taken there. Especially the small things like editing textfields with just pressing enter. Right now in Affinity Designer(and Photo) i have to click a textfield, and then double click it or in even not so few cases, i have to select the texttool first so i can click into the textfield to be able to edit the text there. It would be nice if i could just press ENTER and the text inside the textfield gets selected and i can edit away. A small request with quite a big impact i think.

Appreciate your work so far, keep it up.

    Kind regards,
    Martin

To the point: is this going beta soon? I guess Artboards are related to Affinity Publisher and Multipage Layouts of some sort? Amarite?

I am desperate... this is THE feature i want :D

    Hi Strandbummler,

The buttons only work at the moment when the path is closed. However this means that they should be greyed out when your path is still open to avoid confusion. I will log this with our developers to try and get it sorted as soon as possible :)
