So, I'm happy to say that I've got raw support in 2.4 (uncompressed only at the moment, but I can live with that) - THANKYOU However, just for the sake of clarifying my own confusion, I thought this wouldn't occur until LibRAW got updated - and their website hasn't changed since Dec '23?
-
Sigh - not sure what happened to the reply I typed yesterday... In summary, looking at the LibRaw page, min or updates are only bug fixes and don't include new cameras. Major updates come out every 1.5 - 3 years - which doesn't sound promising. However, they have a package called RawDigger which includes the Zf in the latest Beta, so who knows...

Hi, I know it's fairly new out, but is there a plan to support raw files from the Zf? Thanks Paul

What I'm doing is opening a file (might be a raw, might be a jpeg). I'll do a bit of editing and then export it as a jpg. Is it possible to change the default export location? Ideally, I'd like to export to the location the file was opened from, but it appears that Aphoto defaults to exporting to the last folder a photo was exported to...

Just speculation on my part, but could it be because you're using raws - they need some sharpening to look their best. Maybe covert to jpeg and sharpen before stacking? -
This is really odd. I downloaded your file. My 2013 Mac running Big Sur previewed it fine. If you select the image in column view, does it give you the file info like I see? Interestingly, the OS doesn't appear to update the icon. On mine, it seems to think it's going to open in NX studio, not APhoto. If you right-click > get info, does it show a preview and the correct app?

I don't know if it's the same problem I have, but I keep forgetting to check which layer is selected before I do anything - so it goes something like: open image > adjust levels > apply sharpening > get confused because the sharpening doesn't appear to do anything. When I check, I realise that after the levels have been done, the levels layer is selected so, I'm applying sharpening to that layer, not the image. If I either merge layers, or select the background image layer before sharpening, the sharpening works fine. So, in my case - operator error

Thanks. But as it was a gift and not something I purchased myself, I don't have anything in my orders... -
License info location

It was an order from Affinity (not App Store) for Photo. Just contacting the person who bought it for me to see if they've still got the original e-mailed code (fingers crossed...) Edit. Panic over - I got the key emailed to me 🙂 -

Thanks. Maybe I'm being silly - but I can only see an order number, not a product key... -
Hi all, I've just upgraded the hard drive in my Mac. After restoring everything from the backup I've a feeling a few things didn't copy over correctly. On issue - affinity photo is prompting me for a license key. While I look for the bit of paper with the key on (it was a gift, so I don't have the email), is there a file or directory I can look for on the backup drive and copy over manually? Thanks Paul

That surprises me. As a quick experiment, I opened a raw file (24Mpixe, 30Mbyte Nikon NEF file). In the develop persona, I turned off all automatic adjustments in the develop assistant, and clicked 'develop' without making changes. I then immediately saved the aphoto file with no adjustment - no layers, no filters etc. That file is 200MBytes - so there's a lot of something in there - even though I've done no editing.

Got it in one - that's what I'm trying to do. I did use odrive for a while, but then Amazon changed the API which stopped it working - maybe I'll give urbackup a try. Oh - and yes, I do have a local backup on external HDDs which is my first line of defence (and that *does* include the .aphoto files), but that's no use if someone breaks into the house and takes anything that looks IT related. Thanks
