The mesh warp tool will do it. A very quick try so maybe not perfect.

If you're on a PC might be easier to create a New View and float the window. The zoom in in one window. I have 2 screens though which makes this easier.

He probably means tone mapping, which is part of the HDR treatment.

If you load the brighter one into AP does it stay bright?

If its not hardware acceleration it might be conflict with something else Other problems seem to happen if your files are on a NAS or cloud.

I don't think support works on weekends, which maybe why you haven't heard from them.

Also try a clean reinstall of the graphics drivers. There was a recent update of the Nvidia drivers.
