  1. Try turning off hardware acceleration. Edit->Preferences-Performance
  2. What did you actually send them? The pdf you attached? Wondering if all the layers have confused things and whether it would be better flattening it? (PDF (flatten) option in Photo Export Settings)
  3. NeoFinder/abeMeda is one option. It has a trial version and has a lot more capability than I need. Having a Sony camera, the free Capture One Express for Sony covers my limited catalogue needs. (I don't have a huge number of images). Developing image catalogues seems a bit of a minefield. Took Luminar quite some time to get it right and they lost many users in the process (including me).
  4. Sounds like hardware acceleration problems. Try turning it off. Edit->Preferences->Performance. Are your graphics drivers up to date?
  5. Usual solution is to use the internal drive as a working drive and move files to external drives when finished. I have 2 identical external drives for this.
  6. Can you also post a screenshot of your colour preferences? (Edit->Preferences->Colour) And are you on a Windows PC?
  7. You can also do something similar to the above using Apply Image.
  8. It's a known problem with the Serif RAW engine. If one of the channels is clipped you can get odd colours. Other engines are better at recovering this. Either be very careful with your highlights when taking the image or use a different engine. I do and send a tiff to Photo.
  9. These are from FastRawViewer. Second one is darkened. Something odd is happening. Photo struggles when one channel is blown out. Other programs "recover" the burnt out highlights.
  10. Have you tried printing through a dept store or some other outside printers. Should give an idea of where the problem is. And its pretty cheap. Its what I did before I did a printing course and learnt how to set things up properly.
  11. You might be over thinking this. I have a calibrated Benq and get pretty close with the colours. I've had my printer profiled for one of the papers I use and that one is very close. For print I have the monitor set to 5000K. I also have 80 cd/m^2 brightness and black point at 0.4 cd/m^2. When I hold blank photo paper in front of the monitor displaying white it matches quite well under the lighting I use. My print images are either Adobe RGB (1998) or ProPhoto. I actually print with a program called Mirage as its easier.
  12. Also in the develop module the lens correction tools can help.
  13. As v_kyr said, try turning off hardware acceleration. Edit->Preferences->Performance.
  14. If you just want to review RAW photos quickly, FastRawViewer is the go. https://www.fastrawviewer.com/
  15. One of the best Windows raw convertors for Sony ARW files that I've found is the free Capture One Express for Sony. I believe there is a mac version. On Windows it does set up a tif file to move an image to Affinity Photo which is the only real drawback. It handles highlights well and has a rather good auto adjust that is way better to use than the AP version. And a catalogue.
  16. They're not my grids and I'm not that good at making them. As far as I can see we can't add our own grids to the crop tool. Be nice if we could.
