  1. Nvidia has a clean install option that makes it a bit easier. Its in the custom installation in GeForce Experience.
  2. sfc/scannow is a CMD thing. it can detect and repair corrupted system files.
  3. In Windows Settings->Apps->Installed apps you can select Advanced Options for Affinity Photo and try Repair and maybe Reset. After that it may be sfc/scannow and maybe DSIM, which I haven't had to use for a long time.
  4. Suggest you first try holding Ctrl when you start up and Clear User Defaults. There is also Tablet Input Method in Tools in Settings you can change. Then maybe check the Wacom settings. Settings in Wacom Center lets you do a driver check and restart the driver.
  5. Have you tried holding Ctrl when you start up? You can disable Hardware acceleration from that menu. Might be worth clearing user defaults while you are there.
  6. FWIW I sent this to Topaz Photo AI and used the color balance tool there. Just used the default settings.
  7. Are you applying DeNoise to a pixel layer? Try Merge Visible then applying DeNoise to that.
  8. If you've just opened the image, suggest Copy (ctrl C in windows) and New from Clipboard from the File menu. (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+N in windows). Copy Flattened (Ctrl+Shift+C) from Edit menu if you want to copy edits, then New from Clipboard.
  9. I imagine someone needs to write a business case that convinces the board or whoever to invest in that development.
  10. Wondering if "Save with Versioning" is an option. I see this as "Save As" with the saved file name being automatically generated. E.g. The original with an updated version number. If it was really clever it would allow a specified maximum number of versions. Would save buying software to do this and would solve a lot of the problems with corrupt files.
  11. FWIW I use SyncBackFree which is free and easy to use. Back up my working SSD drive at 1am every morning. Free version has enough functionality for my use. https://www.2brightsparks.com/welcome/compare-sp.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwMqvBhCtARIsAIXsZpbRL6GHwxzE3loiuOBwXzriUI94y8FkfKI6kmgnqCMzGJPzgB4t9IMaApthEALw_wcB Its not perfect as it backs up what I've saved so if that's corrupt there's a problem. So I use Save As regularly on important files so I have versions. The paid versions of syncback seem to have versioning.
  12. If you enter ctrl S instead of using the menu what happens?
  13. In the past Photo had problems saving to external drives. I've learnt to have a working internal drive and move things from there to an external drive.
  14. Opened in publisher, saved then opened in photo. V2. See if this works. test.afphoto
  15. See if this is OK. ToRecordOnlyWaterForTenDays.tiff
  16. Suggest you try this. Live Hue Range Mask has a picker that lets you pick just the orange. So duplicate the image and do that. Then put a fill layer below that and use the picker to colour the fill layer a uniform blue that you select from the original image.
  17. I posted a tiff of your file but decided to delete it. Maybe also delete your .aphoto file now we know its not corrupted.
  18. By saved dark do you mean exported jpegs are dark but the file is OK in Photo itself? If so, maybe post a screen shot of the export panel. Your good file comes up in Explorer as sRGB but nothing for the other. So seems the colour space has changed.
  19. 8gb of RAM isn't a lot. Maybe adjust the RAM usage limit in settings.
  20. AP has Resize Document in the Document menu. Its old school, non AI. You probably need to experiment with the Resample options to see what suits. Topaz Gigapixel AI is good. Might be worth running the free trial. Gigapixel at 4X and 400%.
