  1. You're absolutely right!!!! Basic brushes selected and it's now working! Many thanks Cheers 😁
  2. Hi, it's the clone brush and healing brush tools that I'm trying to use. If you're referring to something else I have absolutely no idea. I've only had this software for a couple of days and there's so much technical stuff in it and no real guidance on what to do. Cheers
  3. Ah, I was looking at the opacity over on the right of the screen which is saying 100%. I'm really confused now over what I should look at but I'll try changing it at the top and see what happens. Note: I changed the opacity to 100% and still nothing! Cheers
  4. Hi The background layer is highlighted but still it won't work. I've added a screenshot. Any further help is much appreciated Stewart
  5. I've just purchased Affinity Photo version 1.8.5 today but I cannot get the healing brush or clone brush tools to work. I can set the cloning source with the Alt key but when I come to paint the sample nothing happens with either tool. I saw a forum question for the exact same problem from 3/4 years ago and someone replied saying "Check the brush you are using to ensure it does not have "spacing" or anything else set that could affect it". The original poster said that resolved the problem but I don't know where to find this anywhere in the software to check. Any help is greatly appreciated as these 2 tools are probably going to cover 80% of what I use this software for so it's frustrating that neither work! Regards Stewart
