The brush shape outline in Raster Brush mode is useless most of the time, and gets in the way of painting. (Please see the attached GIF)

Is there any chance it can be hidden?

The "User Interface > Show brush previews" removes the actual colored/rasterized shape — but not the big brush outline.

I agree. AF needs to have better brush management capabilities. It was something Photoshop users had to wait a very long time on. I hope AF doesn't let us wait as long as PS did with their costumers!
I suggest making it possible to create sub-categories within categories. A 'sort by ...' button in the hamburger menu would also be helpful (for example 'sort alphabetically'). Another thing that would make brushes more manageable is to let users choose how they want the brushes to appear in the brush panel (by stroke only, by name only, by brush tip only, ... or a combination of these things). Also having multiple brushes sit aside each other when resizing the brush panel would be helpful for those with a very large brush collection. Maybe instead of selecting the collections in a list, icons could be placed on the left of the brush panel, which could be scrolled through, and with dividers, making it quicker to switch back and forth between different categories. Or maybe only the categories favorited by the user could appear here. Beneath is a quick mockup of what I mean.

LouisV got a reaction from DM1 in Use pressure and tilt for brush size
    Hi @stokerg,
Thank you for your answer. I did find a way of making it work by using sub-brushes, but had to do it on the desktop version to then transfer it to my iPad. However, if multiple controllers could be set for brush size in the future, that would be wonderful! Also, is there a reason why sub-brushes are supported on the iPad but can not be created on the iPad? Would love to see that feature included in the iPad version as well!
For those interested, here is an example of my prototype brush. All these strokes are done within one brush stroke each. So now I can use pressure as well as tilt for brush size without having to switch on 'force pressure'.

    Hello Affinity Team,
Thanks for creating a great product!
There is a feature I miss. Being able to show more panels at the same time.
This would be really, really, really useful, for example when trying to add a symbol to specific layer. If I would be able to see both the symbol panel and the layers panel, I would be able to drag and drop the symbol in the right place.
It's a big pain to have to select a layer, or group of layers and then try to add the symbol to the canvas, as the symbol never ends up in the right place.
Also, it would be useful to be able to see more panel, when having to switch tools which are located in different panels. Now, as opposed to the desktop version of the app, which has this feature, you need to click and touch a lot!
Is there a way to get this feature?
    Best,
    Dan

Hi @Ughhhh and Welcome to the Forums,
We don't currently have a light ui option on the iPad version.
I'll get this moved over to Feature Requests

    Hi
the context tool bar at the bottom of the screen makes me change contextes with the palm of my right hand during sketching. This happens a lot and it‘s very annoying.
I would really appriciate, if I could move this Toolbar on the left side or to the top of the screen.
    Thanks
    regards, Rogr

I would like the option to have the light ui on my iPad AD. If this is a redundant ask then please close.  I searched and did not find any requests for this—which makes me fear my request puts me in the minority (or my search skills are rusty)

I wish it can do fully split screen, it’s great for multi-task and drawing references.

Hello, a suggestion that has been on my mind for a long time: it would be really nice if one could sort the brush categories in the brush palette afterwards. That one can sort the brushes within a category is good so far. Please go one step further and make it possible to sort the categories itself. Maybe this is already possible and I just haven't found it yet.
    Cheers, Puck

It'd be great if there was an option to show the brush names in the brush panel without having to hover the cursor over each brush. Not only would it fix my greatest annoyance with the apps but it should hopefully be really low hanging fruit given the IPad versions already do this.
Please? The lack of this option is driving me insane. *Obi-Wan voice* Help me Serif, you're my only hope.

LouisV reacted to R C-R in How to display brush names in Brushes Studio?
Is it true that the brush names appear in the Brushes Studio only if a brush is assigned to a particular brush tool, or am I overlooking a preference or option to show the brush name for all brushes?
If only assigned brush names are displayed, are any plans to add a preference to show the names for all brushes?
