Would be nice to have a full powered Photo persona in Designer (like in Publisher).

Just export artboards individually (with the icon on their right side) until they fix this. Better to click 10-15x than random hang. It's so stupid, that clicking works and export all doesn't..

Why work around? All I do, every day is work-around issues in this app. It's HORRIBLE! Work around export persona, work around selecting items with HUGE invisible empty selection boxes, work around bleed issues, and so on. I don't think even Serif uses this app. I don't care about this forum anymore, Serif has demonstrated enough by ignoring all the major bugs we post. I've kept away, and will keep away every person in my friend circle to purchase this app, and V3 will not see my $ for sure. IT'S WORSE THAN V1

I just export them one at a time now, works for me (in export persona, the icon on each artboard). Ofc slower workflow, but no need to have anxiety about app hanging. OFC they won't fix it in 2.1 . Jesus, they haven't fixed it from V1 to V2, what are the odds 2.1 update will fix it? (spoiler: zero chance) :))))))

Yeah, thank you, but no thanks. This final version is Beta enough for me, I don't need an even beta beta, I work on 7-8-9 projects/day, and I can't afford any more slowdowns or instability.

Looks like you answered your own question. The same problem was never fixed in V1, and they launched a fast cash grab V2 where they made it even worse. In V1 at least after 2-3 crashes I was able to use the app without issues till a system reboot. So it is only and ONLY the app's fault. Same app, same behavior (actually worse in V2). They NEVER ask for detail. So yeah, trash support and quite a bad team if you ask me. Let's wait for the 2.1 update and see it not fixed.

They are. And they don't care or they are incapable to code. This bug is present on the forums and reported since 2021. So I dare any mod or admin to prove me wrong.

That's how the elliptical transparency/gradients works aswell, since forever (lock handles).. Sometimes it does stick, other times I need to just toggle until I can move both handles differently. Screen Recording 2023-02-09 at 09.31.32.mov

Are you serious? Instead of losing 2 minutes saving, closing, opening etc. I just accept the hang, force close Designer, and export after that.. You get 1-2 exports before it hangs again. Let's see 2.1 update, but my money is on "it won't be fixed"

They won't see my V3 purchase, that's for sure! And I was pro Affinity for a long time, but recently just talked off 2 of my buddies on purchasing this poop. So yeah.. The damage is done. I would VERY MUCH LOVE affinity, but this is just plain bull$shit. Hunger for money and bad coding, regardless what other admins are saying "ooo they are very talented".. Yeah and a 2021 issue is still present in 2023, and will be for versions to come. How much do you guys want to bet that 2.1 won't fix this? 😂😂

I don't believe 3 months is such a short time.. And then again, if the app was unstable and so full of bugs, why was it released? Why rush a beta and try to fix it to "launch version" in half a year?... Second, I wasn't the one to set the price for your app. I paid whatever you asked for, it's not my problem you have weak or cheap devs.. I would have even paid 2x the price, for a smooth app. Some bugs I constantly report, are present from V1!!! Like the hang bug from export persona. It's carried on like a STD from version to version.. But yeah, will wait for 2.1 to see how much you guys do care.

That comment was for loukash, he seems to accept things "as is". That's not how things work.. it needs improvement because it's more logical to use that tool as in V1. You don't know how annoying a small thing like this is, until you work with a lot of artboards.. But yeah, V2 so far is pretty bad.. I got it for the warp tool, which I haven't used yet.. And for the knife tool. Other than that, a LOT of bad bugs in V2, and it's been enough time since release. OFFTOPIC: This is how devs work nowadays, release a poop, then polish it. Look in the gaming world! Cyberpunk, Battlefield 2042, Callisto Protocol and so on.. I am so fed up with this mentality because whatever I purchase, I have to wait for the fixes.. the only thing you can do is come to the forum and post again and again, because otherwise they will bury it and when V3 comes out, you have the same bugs..

But why would we want another tool to do what the move tool does? What kind of F-d logic is that? Have all the tools select objects, but no tool to select artboards fast.. By clicking on an object with the artboard tool, it does exactly what the artboard tool shouldn't do. Isn't it logical to select artboard tool because I want to add/modify artboard? Why not make the color picker select objects? Maybe I want to select objects with the color picker then..

It's not, it's still there. Use the app more, and it will hang. IT JUST HANG FOR ME. Edit: And after one OK export, again.. Honestly, I don't know why bug reports even exist. It was present in Big Sur too, don't link it to Ventura! Also, if OS would be the issue, how come I don't have problems with Capture One, Photoshop, Final cut and so on? It's just export persona in Serif apps.

IT'S NOT DOCUMENT RELATED!!! I can work on a 1000x1000 pixel artboard or 5x5 meter artboard, the crash will happen enetually. I have iCloud and Gdrive, but never save to them. They are just there for other things. Even Mega file transfer all. I just export to desktop. In V1, it worked fine after 2-3 crashes, until you rebooted the OS. For me at least, after it started to work, all affinity NEWLY SAVED files had no thumbnails. When thumbnails showed up again (after reboot), I knew it was going to happen. It was happening in Big Sur too, so it's not ventura issue. I just think they messed up the coding in export persona, and a sh!t coding + some app causes the crash. "Save as" works as should, every time!!! Export persona hangs.. I have sent in all my crash reports, nothing happened. I don't understand why the critical bugs aren't hotfixed.. Like this one, and the one where it randomly replaces your images in your files.. I send in all my crash reports, I calmly gave details about this issue when it started to happen back in 2021, yet nothing has been fixed. WTF else should I do? Send in my laptop? V1 had issues, V2 elevated the issues.. The least they could do is ask for logs in a separate thread, and analyse them.. I can't send you files because it happens randomly, with every file type (artboards to jpeg, artboards to pdf, etc), I can reproduce it in video, as it happens often, but whats' the point of that? Honestly, I don't understand why are you guys debating this.. the issue is reported as a known bug, there is no workaround! Export persona is FKD up for some users, because "save as" works fine, every time!. They only issue lies in EXPORT PERSONA! There is nothing you can do, as OTHER APPS WORK FINE, only Serif apps hang. I have sent tens of bug reports to serif, if they read it, good, if not, the problem will persist in V3 as well. Mine hangs immediately after I press export. I'm not even able to change folders. EVERY TIME. I get 1-2 exports after a hang, and loop. Started in 2021 in V1, reported it, continued in 2022, now in V2. WTF should I do? I invested time and money in Serif.. And no solution was given. We have in common external SSD's and cloud drives, even tho we are not exporting to them! I have tried everything. At least in V1 after 2 crashes, it worked fine afterwards until an OS reboot. But V2 just loops the crash!

Nothing. I have this issue since 2021. They did absolutely nothing! Well, they released V2, clean install, and crashes got even worse than in V1. Just today, working on a SINGLE document, I've had 6 crashes in export persona, as I tried different variants, saved, sent to client, feedback, etc. save with new modifications, crash after crash. there is NOTHING you can do, the problem is well known, but nobody gives a rats a$$. I've been sending in my crash reports like crazy, NOTHING HAPPENED. So yeah, welcome to the club save often

Is anybody reading the crash reports? Or are they directly going into the trash because it sure feels like so. Would be a shame to delete all my "F*** you nr. n+1" reports! I send quite a few /day. I have absolutely no issue with other apps, and AT LEAST 7-8 crashes /day from affinity.

Nope. It's 2 months since the thread was started and 1 year and 2 months ++ since problem was reported. Still NOTHING! I just force close the app 5-6-7x /day, send a FU message in error report and a number, counting up for every crash. It's not my fault they are unable to fix a problem that has been lingering for one and a half year now. IMO they should just dump the whole export persona and redo it from the ground up, as it's the only part where app crashes constantly.

OFC it's not fixed :))))))) only the save to SSD was fixed. At this point I'm not even sure what the issue is.. is it they are a big company and there is no communication, or are they small and poor and don't have the manpower?? What do I need to do to get the bugs fixed??? Should I send in my laptop, because my daily 4-5 sent crash reports aren't enough I see.. I swear, this has to be the most trash customer support I have EVER seen! (and I'm not talking about the mods, who reply and try to help).
