  1. The document color palette should be the default palette when opening a document. The whole point of creating a document palette is that it is specific to that document. But for some reason, when opening a document, Affinity does not automatically go to the document palette that was created for that document...
  2. Excellent program. works really fast on the M1 Mac. Much better than using finder.
  3. I was referring to the professional users not casual users playing on there computer. Thats why I said the casual user could still buy it outright.
  4. You should move to a hybrid subscription plan. Offer the software as you do now for a flat outright fee but also implement a low subscription like $4.95month for continued software upgrades. The casual user will be happy to pay the flat fee and the professional market (like myself) would not bat an eye at paying a low subscription for continued advancement of the software. I think your product has reached the tipping point to really take a piece of the professional market. But funding your team to handle it would probably be helpful.
  5. As one coming over from INDESIGN, I used multiple vertical panels on iOS. With larger screen sizes these days, it just makes sense to make use of screen real estate by having tools more readily available.
  6. Yes, I'm aware of stack windows. But it gets cluttered. having more than one column would be ideal for design production.
  7. The one issue I have with float menus is that if I float the menu on the left, the character size dropdown menu drops behind the floating menu, making it useless. If I float on the right or anywhere really, the app sometimes opens not full screen which means I need to adjust those floating windows AGAIN. It just creates more steps to set up.
  8. Having the document save to the default document path would help a lot. Currently it defaults to the previous path used which could be anywhere on the computer or any other client folder.
  9. The saving, the save dialog box continually opens rather small. I need to constantly enlarge the box to view the file structure. Having the box save its previous dimensioned would be ideal. Also having path default to the document path would help a lot. Currently it defaults to the previous path used which could be anywhere on the computer.
  10. I get a little bloating but this seems outright obese. A 4 to5 times increase in an unedited file seems a bit extreme. What threw me off was that generally my Indesign files where much larger then affinity publisher files. So I assumed Affinity was running a more efficient file format across the board. I love what Affinity is doing, just seemed like a hiccup.
  11. I opened a 2.1MB .jpg and saved it as a .afphoto which rendered to a 10MB file size. I then took the same original .jpg image and batch converted it to a .afphoto and it rendered at 38MB file size. Also, no edits where made during this process.
  12. Would be nice to have a fast lite graphic file viewer. Apple finder has issues with rendering basic files often times.
  13. Seems like this is either a bug or a programming issue. When using the batch conversion to convert a .jpg to either .afphoto or .png the converted file size is exceptional larger. A 3MB file will jump up to 50-100MB. Seems like the converted file should be roughly the same size as the original?
  14. It's great that I can view affinity application thumbnails in apple Finder. But, it would also be ideal to view all my template files as thumbnails in Finder.
  15. Is there a way to arrange template files and folders? Seems there is no alphabetical arrangement or way to manually arrange the template folders or files in the New Project window?
  16. The latest 1.8.6 version on a Mac does not allow me to dock more than one panel on the right or left. This is mind boggling considering the wider screens these days. Am I missing something here?
