Text Line Spacing

I'm having some difficulty with line spacing, I have watched the tutorial but this still doesn't help. I see in the tutorial when he has a 5pt line spacing the lines are over the top of one another, on my program there is still a significant gap, which looks like a 18pt in the tutorial. Please could you assist? Kind regards, Rob
