  1. Hi, Jack. Now I can see the link! Thank you! I'm trying to copy the workflow, and I think it's very useful; I'm learning a lo! (Not enough german though ;) ) In the end, you put the flare layer behind the globe. I can't replicate that. My layer just clips (clipping mask) to the globe and get invisible.
  2. Oh, I didn't see you post at first. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thanks for the tip!
  3. Jack, my flash player is turned on and up to date. This is a mystery. This is how your post looks like in my browser (Chrome) I will try Safari and see if that helps. I have seen some of your videos before, they are great! :) EDIT: I can see it in Safari. Odd! EDIT #2: When I'm logged in, I can't see it in Safari either.
  4. I find these shortcuts are working in Affinity too. https://youtu.be/vG5QOzODCBs
  5. Why don't I see the YouTube link to the tutorial? I experience that in several threads. I see the Vimeo links though.
  6. I'm glad you could use the tip! I made some smilies some time ago (in PSE). The glossy look is achieved by adding shadows and highlights, -circles/gradients with various shades of yellow. (I'm not happy with the mouth)
  7. Hi.. from Norway. :) I find these shortcuts work in Affinity as well. https://youtu.be/vG5QOzODCBs
  8. Thank you so much for responding! I began in the wrong end. I edited the gradient first, before I applied it. Obviously I have to edit the gradient afterwards. Now it's working well!
  9. It seems to work when I edit the right point of the gradient first.
  10. I want to use a gradient on a new layer, but the layer turns black as soon as I click the color I want in the gradient edit dialog. Are there any tutorial videos about gradients AND color swatches? Since English isn't my native language, it's easier for me to follow a video tutorial.
  11. I have a little experience editing photos, but I could use some basic tutorials on the different tools as well. (Especially in those which are different to PS) I have watched all the videos, and they are all fantastic. -But some of them leaves me with a lot of questions. Apart from that, I'm very excited and impressed by the programs.
  12. Hi, sorry to ask such a dumb question, but are you sure you are working on the right layer?
  13. Hi! I'm Marianne from the south of Norway. I'm a total and passionate amateur in photograpy and editing. When I found that there was an alternative to PS I just took the plunge and bought both Affinity Photo and Designer. I only just opened AP and I'm impressed so far. Happy editing!
