Hi - I have a similar problem. New from today. Using Affinity Designer 1.8.4, Mac OS 10.15.7. When I use Saves as... "Save failed because you do not have permission to create a file in that location." When I Export as pdf... "Permission was denied." I am also unable to import svg images.. it always says "The file was not found." Looks like a permission issue. Thankfully, I was able to switch my file into Affinity Photo and save/export without a problem, so this is not an Affnity-wide problem.
