Hi Ron I've done a little more digging on this it seems that the culprit is Topaz AI I went back to the original Raw file opened in AP2, Developed (without any adjustments), Rasterised the layer, opened up Topaz AI from plugin menu Let Topaz work its magic save back to AP. Applied key line as the radius was increased it turned the whole image white. Went back to the start and added the key line first then went through AI saved back to AP total image was white Then opened raw file in AI then saved as DNG file Opened this in AP2 applied key line worked fine So the conclusion is there is a glitch between AI and AP2 - so easy to workaround once you know. I'll report this to the AI team see if they are aware. Thanks for your help Dankzy

Hi In v.1 I can add a 5 px key line around an image using FX outline function This shows the edge of image when projecting. This does not work in v.2 I know you can fiddle about increasing the canvas size by the required number of pixels but that’s such a faph about for a simple process Any ideas why this why this is? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I scrolled through the 4 pages of comments from Beta users. Couldn't really see why there was a problem with the original version. Option click works but if I'm working with masks I've generally got a Wacom stylus in my left hand so need to juggle that to to hold down option to make it work. Would have preferred a right click seems more intuitive to me - you right click a layer for options. One solution I didn't see was select the original version in preferences - I'm sure there's a reason (practical or philosophical). Thanks again for your help

Hi I'm having a similar problem V2.1.11847 Quick mask icon no longer gives the mask options (Mask, empty mask, compound mask , luminosity, hue etc) Right click on icon has no effect Right click on layer has no mask option (other than mask to below. or rasterise to mask) Only way to select mask option is to select Layer > then choose from mask options and live mask options Is this a set up issue, bug or deliberate change

Thanks for the replies - it seems very bizarre that there is no indication where the brush is at - sure you can see where its painting but it makes it difficult to be precise especially if using the Smart Selection brush. I take Pauls point that the iPad can't work out where your finger or pen is but as you change the size of the brush you do briefly get a view of the brush size on the screen so why can't it stay there until it detects further inputs I've used the desktop version Photo and publisher for a while and find it difficult to make the transition - but I keep trying and hope I can get used to it or a future upgrade resolves it. Hi All Still getting to grips with this (I also have the desktop version for Mac) I have an issue with the brush guides not showing when the brush is selected (Also happens with Smart Selection brush) On desk top it appears as a white circle and with a cross hair The brush paints ok but you can't see where its going to be No doubt its a settings thing but I can't figure it Can anyone help please Cheers Derek

Hello I'm new to APub and need a little help with a new project A5 (Portrait) Booklet Pages are A4 landscape Folded to A5 Portrait So I have 4 A4 sheets printed double sided = 8pp - Printed from my attached printer On an A4 spread, pagination seems to be pages 8,1 reverse 2,7 then 4,5 reverse 3,6 When collated and folded gives me an 8 page document. I have continuous text that flows through linked text frames How do I set this up so that Publisher knows which page goes where If I set it up as A4 landscape do I need to manually connect the text frames Hope someone can help Cheers Dankzy

I've been using Affinity photo for over a year and love it but have developed a problem with Inpainting Brush which normally works ok I'm using a Mac running Catalina 10.15.7 and affinity Photo 1.8.4 I've got "Opacity" 100, "Flow" 100 "Hardness" 100(also) tried 0) When I paint over the offending item I do not see the red colour which normally appears - The progression slider appears but nothing happens when I look at "Edit" it asks to undo "Inpainting Brush". I have a duplicated layer which is set to pixels I have tried Current layer and Current and below I have closed all other software closed my Mac but none of this makes a difference I've attached a screen shot - the base layer is unselected in this shot I've tried having both layers selected Hope you can help Dankzy
