You don't need to install on the other computer. Just download, and transfer the file to your computer.

I tried to remove everything in c:\windows\temp\ and even a full cleanup wizard : still the same problem

Thanks for your help. I think that the installer is not really corrupted, I downloaded it three times and I also downloaded 2 older versions with the same result. I also tried everything  that you suggested except try on another computer, which is not easy for me, my other computers are from work and I can't install softwares on them.

My PC crashed during the update to 1.9.1 of affinity designer and now I'm unable to have it work. I managed to uninstall it with the Microsoft Utility program but when I try to install it again, I get an install error :

The cabinet file 'Main.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

I tried to download it again, to install an older version, I allways get the same error.

Besides, what is strange is even if I have removed the software and even the directories, when I launch the install program, I get a message saying I'm going to update and not to install.

Can someone help me ?

Thanks for your answer. I don't know how long it has been happening, maybe some weeks. Most of time I just open existing documents so it is possible that I didn't see it for a while. I use the last retail version (1.8.5.703)

Your suggestion to remove the 1.0 directory worked perfectly. I doubted that it would work because I had the same behaviour for photo and designer so I thought that it had to be something common to both. But I was wrong, it was just the same problem twice.

Hello,

I have a strange behaviour with Affinity photo (the problem is the same with designer but I had to chose a forum). It works ok when opening an existing photo but if I try to create a new document, it just hangs and the only solution is to kill it from the task manager window.

Any idea ?
