Thanks for your reply, appreciated 😀. I've tried restarting the app. Also now tried clearing that in the Clear User Data box as you suggest above, then re ticking the box 'Import PSD smart objects where possible' and tried importing a couple of PSD files that I've used before with their smart objects, all to no avail 😭. The actual file that I want to use is this one here to put my own cover on and use the shadow spine on the front cover - https://graphicburger.com/hardcover-book-mockup-2/ - it says it has a smart object in it but is just showing as pixels and groups when I open it. Any other ideas please?

Having not used psd files in Designer for a while, I've now tried again today but they don't import as an embedded document, just as pixels (hence can't use the smart objects). I have 'Import PSD smart objects where possible' ticked in the preferences and also don't have Adobe Fresco (that I can find) on my Mac to delete (read that this may be a cause). Any ideas please? 🙏

Do any of the Affinity programs support .asl files please? Or is there a workaround to importing and using these please? Thank you!

Amazing thank you both SO much! Canva uses RGB and when I checked Affinity it was using CMYK so I changed it to RGB and both now look the same. Thanks for the help with my dilemma, much appreciated

Ah right, yes got you thank you. I see that they are now accepted even though the box is in red. Many thanks. Another question though hoping you (or anyone else) might be able to help me with please? I've taken the hex codes from a document in Canva I was using and have used the same Hex codes in Affinity Publisher. However, they are displaying quite different, not as vibrant ... particularly the bright pink that I highlighted in a red oval on the screenshot below, which the same hex code used in the word 'beauty' in Affinity in the screenshot ... also the purple is not as vibrant and as I want. Might you know why please and how I can fix this?

When I enter my hex code of choice to add, I'm unable to do so and the box turns red. Why would this be please and how can I use my chosen hex codes?

Hello. Is it possible to use smart objects in Publisher or Designer please? I understand that you can in Photo as embedded but I don't presently have Affinity Photo. I'm wanting to use some PSD smart objects from a pack that I've bought. Thanks!

The pink colour has now returned and I can now see pink in all the above screenshots and in Affinity Publisher as well. Have not altered anything though, so strange. I bet it will go back to white tomorrow again! Be good to know what's causing this though if anyone still has any ideas!
