Can I use a grey card in a photo then take a reading of the photo in Affinity to get the correct color?

QP Card has 2.5 cm white, 2.5 cm grey, 2.5cm black on it. Place next to the object that you are photographing then open in the photo in Photoshop using the eye droper click on the grey and prestos you have the correct colour.
