Definitely don't do that. Make or modify a template to suit your particular book size. From my experience, you will get yourself into too many problems if you attempt to resize a template after you have placed your content into it. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Once you become proficient at master pages, you'll be able to whip up a template in a matter of minutes that will suit the needs of any size you need. I now have 4.25x7 (up to 250 pp or so) for the old pocket book racks of the 50s and 60s (pocket books are coming back). I use a 5.25x8 template for my longer works. I write fiction, of course. I have no idea about books with photos, technical manuals, &c.
I forgot to mention that Publisher does not do epub.

I didn't think you were being mocked. I suspect the poster may have thought you have more experience, is all. In any event, don't be shy about asking questions. We all started somewhere, especially me. As I said, Olivio has a ton of vids on Photo. He is very informative, from basics to more advanced topics. I primarily use his site to learn Affinity Photo techniques.

You might find this video on blend modes by Olivio Sarikas useful. If not, he has hundreds more on his site.

Win11 x64 - I just yesterday had Photo2 and Designer2 refuse to open. Both locked up while the small opening rectangle displayed, and then the programs froze. I opened Task Manger and closed them manually and was able to proceed.

There is no v2.03, only a beta v2.03. Affinity mistakenly dropped v2.03 when it shouldn't have. They pulled it when they noticed. Some were able to update because they were opening their Affinity software during the hour before the mistake was discovered. Those discussing it on that book of faces thing got lucky.
When v2.03 is available they'll let us all know.

Yeah, that $13.99 price will help pay Affinity's bills all right. Although, if you throw in the 28 bucks for the other program gratis and not expect any software, it might help pay some salaries in a decade.

I picked up the "early release update" of Photo and Publisher, but I have no complaints. I'm just happy to have discovered this amazing software two years ago - in case I haven't mentioned that innumerable times already.

I somehow feel we should be complaining about something or other, but for the life of me...
Oh, wait. Perhaps something along the lines of being forced to beta-test a release. That should make those in some other threads happy, right? 😇

Methinks you all should shell out the cash at the current discounted price. If you don't, the threads and the whining will be a lot louder when December 14 closes. Need I say more?

99 bucks for, uhh ... counts on fingers ... SEVEN! count 'em, 7 bits of software. I haven't used an Apple product since the Apple /// and the Lisa (heh. have I mentioned that before?) but I happily laid out the cash. Counts on fingers again ... THREE! count'em, 3 bits of software that I will use. That's like ... counts some more, does dividing by 3 fingers, sums something, err, maybe not ... 33 bucks a crack. Ya. That's it. I paid 33 bucks for three bits of software. When I bought v1 two years ago, I think I paid 27 bucks each. Now someone is pissed because they're paying 6 bucks more. Whiners gonna whine, I guess.
Is my math wrong? Did I count wrong? Did I miss a finger somewhere? Am I missing a finger?
So, basically, v2 is great value for money, notwithstanding two years of inflation and a 6 buck increase in price per unit.
If I might be so bold to suggest to the whiners and shiners: You might want to pick up the latest product at the sale price before December 14, because if you don't, we will all be subjected to a completely new and not unheard round of whining and shining.
    That's all, folks.

Yeah, no. People are throwing around a lot of Adobe pricing numbers, it would seem. Every time I go to Adobe's site for a look see, the pricing is at variance to the prices quoted in here, so there's that.

Oh, I dunno. Isn't that like, for Photoshop for the first month x 12, and then after a year of those monthly prices it goes full price, whatever that silly number is? And then there's the Photography Plan, and the Creative Cloud Plan, and on and on.
I could be wrong, though. I've been wrong before. But not about purchasing the Affinity Trinity for a one-time payment of 33 bucks per x3. With the added bonus of the 4 Apple products thrown in for free. Whee.
Bonus: it's a one-time payment. Beat that, if anyone can! Talk about disgusting pricing. That's it right there, Affinity. Your plan can't be beat. And it's soooo disgusting! 😁
