At home we had two affinity photo licenses, but we're not even going to download the latest version anymore . . .  We've opted to pay Adobe and have two new Photoshop subscriptions. This is a goodbye to this stage of affinity, we were already very tired of waiting for neural filters or AI that never came, but this move leaves us totally out of the affinity game. yes i know, programmers are old people with strange habits XDD
But we are in 2023, and windows 11 have rounded corners . . . and windows 8 metro look is not modern, apps looks like windows xp apps.
Please , put options for modern look (windows 11) and vintage look (actual look with actual retro icons).

Yes, loading cr2 (from canon 5d and 700d ) files its now 4x slow here too . . .
Export times is slow too!

i think for photographers, neural filters from photoshop or AI from luminar is the correct way...
changue skies with intelligent lights ,colors and reflections is a game change right now and the most valuable option in any software for new people...

I don't understand that a DAM is seen as less important than new functionality in the existing apps. Let me first add that I really enjoy using affinity's apps and I recommend them to everybody. They are priced fairly, treat their users well and produce great apps. But I have reached a point where my workflow is challenged as long as I stay with Affinity.
I shoot several photos and need a system to rank the photos and add meta data for searching and selecting. I also need to basic edit several files and export several files. I select a few shots that I edit in Affinity Photo. That workflow isn't supported by Affinity's apps. 
Today I use Exposure X7 and I have tried a lot of different solutions like ACDsee, Nero, Adobe Bridge, XnViewXp, Digicam, Nikon's software etc. as a supporting software to Affinity Photo. Exposure X7 support adjustment of several files (copy settings) and and export of several files. It's without a central database and therefore is slow, but easy to move files. It's RAW engine is okay, but not on level with Affinity's.
Earlier I used Adobe Lightroom. Before that I used Canons DPP. Both I liked. Lightroom demand a lot of space on your HD for the database and moving photos has to be done in Lightroom AND I hate their business model. I shoot Nikon today...
I really would like to stay with Affinity, but are very close to give up and just pay the monthly payment for Lightroom to ease my work with my photos. With that monthly fee I also get access to Photoshop. Why stay at Affinity if Lightroom and Photoshop is better integrated?
Personally I prefer a DAM with Affinity's RAW editing integrated than new features and iPad versions.

i do not know if is normal . . .
But if i make a selection in a pixel layer, and put an effect like gaussian blur... the effect go to all layer, not the selection.
 

tested on windows 11.   All seems woks nice, but the look is not nice, seems a old wi10app. all my windows -apps white and rounded and affinity black and square . . . .   

I think that's the way it should be.
But you can use Gaussian Blur Filter or Gaussian Blur Live Filter.
You can also copy the selection to a separate layer and then apply Gaussian Blur FX.

the unresolved problem of load speedly luts it is present yet.
30 secs to load 7 luts is not nice.
Now , only list names in luts?  no more previews?
The funny thing is, if i make a macro to load a specific LUT . . . the lut is loaded instantly.
But if i need change the lut i need to wait a lot the first time!
