  1. Not willing to help on my end has not been the problem. As you can see I even committed to update one MAC that I can't roll back and lost some older software just to help. It's a two way street but in my case, a one way street.
  2. [ October 25, 2020 ] Bug first reported against V1.x [ November 16, 2022 ] Bug repored again in V2.0 Doesn't matter, the terms and conditions state.. If you are not satisfied with your product for any reason, you may return it within a 14 day period after receipt of your product to receive a full refund. Heck, I upgraded one MacOS system and abandoned older programs just to learn that after years my bug still exists.
  3. NO, no, no... this is still broken after reading the release notes that did not mention it and after ( Benergizer ) falsely claimed it was fixed. Now I have to decide if I want to for a second time request a refund and keep repeating this process until it's either fixed or I have to start again with Affinity Photo V3.0! STEPS ( Watch the mouse pointer. ) a. We are outside of ( Affinity Photo V2.0 ). b. We are now inside of the application and a few pixels below the horizontal scroll bar. c. Move a few pixels higher to be in the horizontal scroll bar and now the pointer shape changes to the in-painting tools brush shape instead of saving that trick until you are actually in the canvas where the image is. Because of this if you are using a large brush you can't tell anymore if your are in the edge of the image canvas or on the horizontal or vertical scroll bar.
  4. I read though the release notes and if this is indeed fixed it's buried in one of the lines that is pretty generic like ( WE FIXED A LOT OF OTHER STUFF ) and did not call out specifically the bug. I pulled the trigger on another order to see if it's truly fixed but will be super disappointed if I have to reverse another V2.0 purchase. In summary the bug reporting and feedback process definitely needs a lot of work.
  5. Thanks ( Benergizer ) for the update. One would assume that if you file a bug report if it's fixed the individual that submitted it would get some sort of notification, guess not.
  6. This was also logged against V1 but a fix never happened. Let's see what happens against V2, I am not optimistic. Thanks for the reply Nathan.
  7. Yes, the change to the pointer shape belongs in the canvas which has the actual picture you are changing. I don't want Affinity Photo hijacking the pointer shapes, the program should continue to use the default system mouse pointer when I am using a scroll bar. I did get a refund of the whole V2 suite when I discovered that this behavior remained unchanged in the newer version.
  8. Outside of the canvas area it should always inherit the current shape set by the system unless the program wants to change it to another shape while over (horizontal/vertical) scroll bar and then back to the current CIRCLE shape when on the canvas. I don't want to do hack workarounds, I would like it fixed.
  9. Inpainting brush is still not correct in V2 after reporting it misbehaving in V1 October of 2020. Requested a V2 refund.
  10. Just tried V2 and the bug is still present so I requested a V2 refund.
  11. Seriously, I am going to request a refund. I first reported a bug back in ( October 25, 2020 ) and hoped that all the subsequent updates would include a fix. The fix never cam so I pulled the trigger on V2 hoping that it would be fixed but, WTF, the bug is still present in V2. It's a good thing I did not update one of my systems to the prerequisite to CATALINA, loosing an old version of Photoshop only to find the bug is still there. Posted October 25, 2020 Mouse pointer not changing shape correctly. (Inpainting Tool) Lesson learned is that SERIF does not fix bugs.
  12. The only response from ( Seriflabs ) for filing a BUG report was the big MIDDLE_FINGER. V 1.8 Bug V 1.9 Bug V 1.10 V 1.10.5 ( This bug still has not been fixed. Do bugs ever get fixed? ) Original Post: ( OCTOBER 2020 )
  13. Well ( Old Bruce ) if you too file a bug report using a different tool but with the same problem, hopefully someone will listen. I am not getting much traction on this.
  14. What I am saying is that outside of the application, the base OS will set the pointer shape to an arrow. If I move my pointer outside of the application from the bottom into the application, the next unique location should be above the scroll bar and I should be able to use the scroll bar with the same pointer shape that the OS assigns but Affinity changes the shape to the in-painting tool as if my mouse had made it all the way into the image area. If my in-painting size is huge, then I have to use this huge shape in the scroll bar area which is not correct and means you will not be able do differentiate between the image or scroll bar area because in this example, the pointer shape will stupid huge for both places.
  15. V 1.8 Bug V 1.9 Bug V 1.10 ( This bug still has not been fixed. Do bugs ever get fixed. Original Post: So this is what it looks like. 1. I first start out with the mouse pointer a few pixels below the scroll bar and I get a pointer shape. 2. Then I move the mouse pointer a few pixels higher, and normally it would remain the same shape but since I have the ( INPAINTING ) tool selected it changes to a circle. Again if I move it a few pixels to high then I am inpainting there is not change in the pointer shape to tell where the pointers location is , ( i.e. Is it a mouse pointer or the INPAINTING tool). 3. Now I make my brush super large and it becomes almost impossible to figure out where to place the huge honking circle to it's still has focus on the scroll bar. When the mouse is outside of the frame containing the picture, it's shape should stay the system defined shape.
  16. Will someone please fix the mouse pointer BUG in the ( INPAINTING ) tool? The bug has been posted here https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/126181-mouse-pointer-not-changing-shape-correctly/ The mouse should only change shape when it's within the actual work area not over the scroll bar or elsewhere. Still present in v1.9.1
  17. Now at V1.9.1 and the BUG persists. One of the downsides is selecting the scroll bar is very difficult since you do not know which behavior the pointer is currently acting. Do bugs in this program ever get fixed?
  18. Only suggestion to make this feature better is to fix the mouse pointer bug! Link to the mouse pointer bug report I submitted and is still not fixed in v1.9
  19. So I just updated to V1.9 and this bug is still present. Will it ever be fixed, it makes navigation extremely difficult.
  20. How often does Affinity Photo come out with updates to fix problems like this.
