Affinity Photo Gradient Tool
in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Posted
Hi All,
I have just purchased Affinity Photo last night, usually i am using Canon DPP3/4 for basic photo editing. I shot Raw for family pictures only (just for hobby, not professional). Before this i had some trial with Capture One Pro and played around with the gradient tools and layering, seems to be straight forward to understand.
Can anybody help to post a basic video tutorial for basic photo editing workflow:
1. Download image from memory card. I think this would be manually downloaded to a folder
2. Open the file in Affinity Photo.
3. Basic editing for overall sharpness, exposure, white balance, saturation.
4. Gradient tools (e.g. to reduce brightness/exposure on the bright sky without affecting the main subject of the photo).
5. Minor local exposure adjustment using paint brush tools.
6. Export to JPEG.
I have some difficulties in understanding how the gradient tools work in Affinity Photo.
Thanks.
Br,
