If there is a space in a volume, directory or file name images are not merged. Attempted every thing that worked on a Mac’s command line with no success. I ran testing in 2.1 and hoped it had been addressed in 2.2 but got the same results.

The fonts have been validated and they are fine. But I'm not sure why it lead Andy to suggested that it was a font issue. Did he se it in the crash logs I posted?

If I install 1.10.4 the application doesn't even launch. As I'v said before I had to blow Photo away and do a new intsall of 1.10.3 to get the software up. After that I update the software to1.10.4 and it crashed on loading.

I am not using the M1 machine for any thing other to test the installation of 1.10.4 and that is it. I'm working off a Intel based Mac. I'm sorry if I want clear about the machine I'm working of of. Here is a screen shot of the MacBook Pro I'm using. Has any one in the Serif development staff looked at the error logs I attached. I'm not the only one that is having the issues with the software crashing.

every thing has been done on the same machine except a test load of 1.10.4 on a M1 Mac Air. Not sure what fonts would have to do with a photo hat has no fonts being used. Unless your refering to the fonts the app used in its menu system. If that is the case then you would tink that Designer and Publisher would exhibit the same issues

After working with the app some more it still has issues it just started to tile when I used Hight pass on a photo and then it crashed again. Adding crash log. Affinity Photo-2021-10-30-044113.ips

I couldn't wait any longer need to do some work on a project. Deleted the app and clear trash and reinstalled the and every thing is working again. Then I put the update 1.10.4 and the app crashed. Deleted and reinstalled 1.10.3 and every thing is working.

Clearing user data did not work

I have a MacBook Air M1 and I loaded a trial version and every thing appears to have worked fine. I could un install the existing installation of the app and re install. IS that a good idea?

Affinity Designer and Publisher are all working correctly even with them upgraded to 1.10.4.

after installing Affinity Photo 1.10.4 the application crashed before it could load. After installing the application it began to crash after a few minutes of work. Also started creating tiled images when exporting jpg files. If a file was created the image was tiled and unusable. Including Mac configuration and crash logs. Also exported jpg image. I'm lucky to keep the app up long enough to edit one image. The only was yo export a jpg file is to merge visible and create a new page from the clip board or move edit to designer. Just used time machine to restore Affinity photo and that solved the problem. Still curious why an reinstalled failed. The suggestion did solve the crop mode problem thanks. I think I tried every thing but that

I was having problems with affinity photo. The crop mode was not displaying. So I decided to down load an install of 1.93 version. Deleted the installed version cleared the Trash on my MacBook Pro. After installing the new version the application failed to load. Error "Affinity Phot quit unexpectedly. Attached is the Problem Details and System Configuration Log. Affinity Photo Error.rtf

I did that ahnd it was not in the list but later on I went back and it had appeared in the list and I could get context back. It sound strange I know but I looked many tinmes and it was not there I guess I'm haunted

I can use the gradient to for linear but there is no context tool available for set to radius or elyptical and I can not find a way to get it tio display. I've even deleted the product and reinstalled and can not get it to work

Are you set up the same and are you getting the same size files

Setting from Affinity & data information for Finder

I've been using ON1 for photo editing for about a year now along side Affinity designer and photo. I was planing on using Affinity for all editing going forward but the files that have been treated by Affinity are so large that it gets me a little reluctant. I'm using a Sony a7R3 and the raw files are 80mb but the Affinity files that are created are over 5x what the raw files being edited. see the attached comparison of file sizes.
