Sorry but I'm not sure what either of you mean. Just so we're all on the same page. The file is a .png so there is a transparent background. The base yellow piece is a separate layer. The red starburst is laid on top of the yellow puzzle piece. The red lines cannot extend past the black border on the yellow piece. Not sure what you mean by clipping it? Sorry for the ignorance.

Hello, beginner here. I'm trying to overlay lines on a solid background shape and need to constrain the overlay shape from extending beyond the base shape. I've attached a pic. I want the red lines from extending past the yellow base. The yellow base fits like a puzzle piece into another piece so the lines need to be constrained in the yellow piece. Any help is appreciated. thanks!
